sadly, no. I was 20 about 20 hrs into the single player mode when my save corrupted. It turned my awesome Ramar into a big fat guy with no name, no items and back to level 1. Not cool.BoneSnapDeez wrote: noise, did yous play all the single player quests?

Re: Together Retro: Phantasy Star Online
Sorry to hear that noise.
I did finally take down the big centipede raft boss with my "helper" in tow. Glad that's over. Time for the mines boss!
EDIT: Mine boss is done. Wasn't too bad - worst part of the fight was the camera angle as I got stuck on the boss a few times as I tried to run around him.
EDIT #2: Looks like you have to fight the mines boss twice.
In the ruins now. Enemies are getting tough. That's enough for one day.

The ruins are pretty tough. Big difficulty spike concerning the normal enemies.
Made it to the gate that I believe leads to the final boss, then I got the hell out of there. I first want to complete the remaining quests, level my character up to level 30, and my MAG to level 50. Sound reasonable?

Re: Together Retro: Phantasy Star Online
I tried to play yesterday, the server was offline. Hopefully it's fixed now.
I only have 2 weekends left to beat this game in multiplayer before the month is over. I might finish the first 2 mines quests in single and leave the boss for weekend multiplayer. Then do the same for the ruins.
I want to beat the game, but I want to do it this month.
I'm not sure whether I'll play any of episode 2. I enjoyed my time with PSO well enough so far, but it's just so repetitive...

Yeah, not quite sure why the servers have been so glitchy. They're based in Chicago, but still.
Bone: You could probably beat the boss around level 20ish depending on your gear and MAG level. I don't think it's unreasonable to have your MAG around level 50, considering you can feed it every 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
The spike with the enemies can be mitigated really easy if you have a weapon with 20% or so to Dark. Just be careful of Chaos Bringers, Dark Belras, and getting frozen by Chaos Sorcerer's Rabarta.

I do have a weapon with 30% Dark, I think.Blu wrote: The spike with the enemies can be mitigated really easy if you have a weapon with 20% or so to Dark. Just be careful of Chaos Bringers, Dark Belras, and getting frozen by Chaos Sorcerer's Rabarta.
Nevertheless, I prefer to simply use my autogun. Long-range weapons really seem to break the game in the player's favor...
My MAG is level 49 so reaching 50 won't be too tough.

I don't think there's been any word from Crono or Lee about the issue yet (no surprise) but I'm guessing it's on the host's end as it usually is and there's not a lot they could do about it anyway.Blu wrote:Yeah, not quite sure why the servers have been so glitchy. Re: Together Retro: Phantasy Star Online
if keeps acting up I'll have to pop in my DC copy. Starting to get withdrawals...
(If I do that, maybe I'll play on the Sylverant server if anyone else is up for it.)

Can't you just play the PC version offline in the meantime?
I have two more quests to go. Last one was an escort mission. I hate those...

nope. You can play the PC version as Single Player, but you still have to connect to the server to do so. It's solo, but not technically offline.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Can't you just play the PC version offline in the meantime?
