I like to preserve my Saturn as well. Don't play on it much compared to my Dreamcast. Only play the Saturn when I feel like playing a certain game. Lot of the times, I play the Dreamcast b/c I am feeling a genre, not so much a certain game.

heh so this "Not For Resale" Dragon Force is listed for $650, but it is simply rubber stamped. Seems like that would be incredibly easy to fake.

I don't know what you're talking about. No I don't have custom rubber stamp places bookmarked.

As i'm finishing up my Dreamcast library, I started to grab a few more Saturn games. Snagged a copy of Albert Odyssey and Magic Knight Rayearth a few weeks ago and was looking forward to playing them. Then, a few hours into Albert Odyssey, and right as the stgt starts - Someone lent me a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Finished it last night. Seemed like a really quick localization. Only subbed, the start screen cutscene still had the Japanese title in it. The credits were in Kanji (except for the localization team). I can definitely see why people are so quick to recommend the Japanese version. I'd imagine it's not tremendously different.

Only took me about 13 hours (Not even close to 100% completion) and overall it was pretty easy (I set the controller down for most of the final boss) But I had a good time with it. I liked the combat system a lot, but I wish there were some more difficult fights to really get into it. Instead of "charge, move clockwise, shoot, repeat".

Really? It's that easy? Hmm.

I was planning to get the English version but if it's really that easy I might just save the cash and go for a Japanese version instead.

Most of the stuff is pretty straightforward. After you determine what your abilities do (I only used four or five of them throughout the entire game) and what your recovery items are - you shouldn't have too hard of a time getting through the game.

Panzer Dragoon Saga is "only subbed" because it's also only that in the Japanese version. The voice actors are Japanese but they're not speaking Japanese; the Panzer Dragoon games use a fictional language called Panzareze.

The Japan version is easily beatable but you'll miss out on so much of the story and dialogue if you don't understand Japanese...

I was replaying Shining the Holy Ark for the first time in years and was having a great time until I got to Far East Village and remembered what came next... So I switched to Shining Force III, lol.The game still retains the charm that hooked me back in '97. Still sad the other two scenarios never saw a domestic release.
