Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
I read it. Vince Gilligan seems unsure =P
Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
There were implausible things happening before, like all the story of the airplane. But I agree, this takes the cake.Jrecee wrote:Gus's walk is probably the least feasible thing that's happened in this show. But it was fucking awesome, and therefore worth it.
They could've just let Gus die on the chair and the camera would close in on his burned side. It would be a little bit more realistic, though it lose the charm of having the dude walk out, set his tie straight (a signature of his character), and fall.
Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Totally thought of something. Gus's car is still at the hospital.
Dead drug kingpin. Car randomly parked. Hospital security cameras. Walt. Jesse.

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Gus was probably smart enough to avoid cameras. That's probably why he was talking to Jesse in that chapel or whatever, no cameras in there. Jesse has a plausible reason for being in the hospital, which is already known to the police. Walt, yeah, as usual that can't be good if he's seen with Jesse.
The car in the parking garage though, yeah, I'm sure that will come up. That'll be good. I didn't even think of that.
The things I'm looking forward to seeing the most is what Hank continues to do, what the hell happen to Ted, and where is Mike. Hank think he "knows" Walter. There has to be a point where he finally realizes that Walter fits the bill for Heisenberg. Even if the evidence doesn't come together, I think he should eventually make that realization. Is Ted dead or has he just suffered a neck/spinal chord injury? Sal never finished that sentence! And Mike will definitely be coming back, I'm sure of that. But for what reason? He works for Gus + Gus is dead = ???
You can kinda almost figure what Walt and Jesse are going to do. They might take it cool for a while, but they'll start cooking again. Or attempt to. Walt will end up in the same situation as he was in the first episode. Perhaps his cancer will come back (did you hear him coughing recently?) and now he has little to no money. So he'll be in the same spot, wanting to leave money to his family when he dies. Perhaps it'll be more than that though, since he's closer to Scarface than Mr Chips at this point. He might be accustomed to that life at this point. Normal life might just not be enough.
Another thing I was thinking about, I now even less like the Gus dying seen. Once Gus falls, you don't see the old man or Jambi. They're like discriminated by the blast. Yet you can clearly see the wheel chair, but the old man is gone. And Gus is 90% intact. The force of the blast was enough to send the door flying and damage that common area outside the room. But Gus, who was standing right in front of the bomb, is only missing half a face. Very unlikely. And the wheel chair is mostly intact? But still fucking amazing. I could honestly care less how unrealistic this one scene was in an otherwise mostly realistic show.

I won't make too many guesses about next season, since I'm always wrong. Ok, I'll make guesses anyway.Ziggy587 wrote:Gus was probably smart enough to avoid cameras. Brock says he never ate any berries.
Hank and the DEA launch a full investigation.
I think they left out Ted's status to leave things open (the writers probably haven't decided) I have a feeling he's badly injured and ready to sue/blackmail. Maybe this takes Skyler to having to make the choice to have him killed.
Mike definitely will return. What he'll do I have no clue.
Not sure about Walt and Jesse deciding to cook just for money's sake. Skyler said the carwash business was doing great. And Jesse has plenty as well and never gave half a million to ted, so I think he's good.
As for the explosion. We didn't see hector's position when the bomb went off. He could have been blown out the window. Or to the other side of the room. Tio obviously was in the center of the blast. But Gus realized what was happening and might have had a split second to dart away or turn. The blast most likely sent him flying back. Anyway you slice it it's not going to be very realistic, but there being no sign of tio or hector behind him does make some sense.
Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Bah, it's splitting hairs about the explosion. You're right, any way you slice it. That being said, I really don't care. Gus fixing his tie then dropping dead is classic.

It made for good watching, all I really ask for from a TV showZiggy587 wrote:Bah, it's splitting hairs about the explosion. You're right, any way you slice it. That being said, I really don't care. Gus fixing his tie then dropping dead is classic.
Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Hector and Tio are the same person (tio means "uncle", and it's what Tuco used to call Hector). You're talking about Tyrus, the henchman.Jrecee wrote:As for the explosion. Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Oh, that was his name!? That character was awesome. Remember the scene when the DEA was searching the laundry mat, and Tyrus and Jesse were in the meth lab. Gus calls the phone in the lab and Tyrus answers, Gus asks to speak to Jesse. Tyrus tells Jesse the phone is for him, Jesse extends his arm out for Tyrus to hand the phone to him but Tyrus keeps his arms crossed and just stares at him. Haha, I was laughing so hard. That character was awesome. Too bad he was shortly lived.
For some reason, Tyrus to me is like a cross between Jambi and that dude from Annie.

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3 Starts Tonight
Is there a season 5?
The story seems complete and over for me...
If there is a season 5 i think it will be in the future, something like 10 years later Guss had a son and he is coming for revenge. I dunno, I really see this story is over or season 5 could be just more detail on what happened later with the car wash, the bald guy left in mexico to be treated, his relationship with his brother in law. I cant think of other possibilities.
