I think it would have been a pretty dumb way to tease a port but I won’t be sure it’s a new game until they confirm.

I will just be right again like Splatoon 2. People who said Splatoon 2 is an enhanced port and it's a new game from the ground up. Will gladly boast when it's proven (even tho it already has been) that it's a new game. Even if it ended up using the same engine doesn't mean a port. That's stupid talk.
