it's just how I am. We lent Mulholland Drive DVD to friends once. They had it for 2 years and never watched it. On the flip, if I borrow something I feel like I have to watch it/listen to it/play it/whatever immediately and get it right back... it's almost too stressful to be worth it to me haha.

It's a cold world bruh! I gotcha.

I'm only playing anyway, I have pretty much the same policy....been burned too many times. These days I'd rather give something away than deal with the stress of loaning it out.

 Classes start Tuesday, and I'm currently only "enrolled" in two of them on eCampus (our system that shows our grades/homework for some classes) and when the third was added, it seems to have removed one of the other classes I had been enrolled in for this semester.

I really hope this is sorted out soon, when you have problems with this system, it can be extremely hard to get everything fixed.

 : USPS hiked it's prices on a lot of it's services today and eBay essentially got rid of it's discount for lower weight items. Now everything under 8 ounces ships for $2.60 period on eBay making profit margins even thinner so expect prices to rise across the board on most games and other small items.

I absolutely hated enrolling in anything online because the practice seemed completely pointless. They way they had their system set up at my school made it impossible for you to sign up to any class that required an earlier class as a pre-requisite, even if you were currently taking that pre-requisite class because there was no final grade listed, so as far as the computer was concerned you were S.O.L.

So enrolling in anything past the first or second semester of freshman year was all but impossible, meaning you had to trek your ass down to the administration building twice a year with the other half-awake student body and listen to them and the poor office ladies moan and groan for an indeterminable amount of time...And then go through the whole process again next semester after listening to all your professors and administrators constant urges to use the "ease of online registration" to sign up early.

Oh, how I loathed them.

I've been in the UMaine school system since 2000.

When I started, signing up for classes was done via touch-tone phones. Huge pain in the ass.

Then it switched to the web. Another pain in the ass. Crashes all over the place. Pre-req stuff was always a pain. Needed these stupid "approval codes" from professors, which worked like 50% of the time.

As of 2008 or so, the web system has been reworked and it's very user-friendly. Also, all eight state campus are integrated in such a way that I can sign up for any class on any campus (assuming I have the pre-reqs). Of course this isn't exactly pragmatic as only one is within driving distance - though plenty of classes are online these days.
