:D Officially going to see the roadshow presentation of The Hateful Eight in glorious 70mm! Bought my ticket online today for 12/30. Bit of a road trip, but nothing too crazy and driving legitimately centers me, it's one of my favorite activities.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Woo! I hope I'll get to see the 70mm, we'll see though.

 I got all excited because I got an aux cord for Christmas. Finally, I thought, I could play music off my phone and have a way for others to pick the music without constant bitching. And... apparently aux on my radio does not work for music. The USB hookup only works with Iphones/USBs, and mine isn't actually capable of bluetooth. It still plays CDs/DVDs/Sirius-XM, but otherwise that stupid thing is a useless piece of touchscreen trash. I want to see if I can get a new one, but stereos ain't cheap, and if I get started I'll probably want speakers and the works...

Fingers crossed for you! It's a bit of a drive for me (2.5 hours best case, probably closer to 3) but being that the 70mm version is only being shown for a week, I felt I had to. Very excited.

I am smiling because the site is back up!

I am frowning because tomorrow I get a chest xray. Hooray for pneumonia!

Good luck with the Xray.

 The sites back up. I was getting a bit scared this time, TBH, because isitdownrightnow placed as completely down, which isn't how it normally shows up when it isn't working.

The server issues with this site are the worst they've ever been.

Smile 1
Site back up!

Smile 2
I completed a work around to FULLY install a vintage Win 95 Star Wars set of discs and it works with Windows 7 64bit and even runs on Windows 10! Using DOS commands REN and CHOICE along with a few tricks with the REGEDIT thru created BAT files to automate the process. I'll update the original Thread buried somewhere once I put together the install Guide.

Saw Force Awakens. Kinda want to smack the people who are all "no spoilers, bro!" because, really, Star wars is inherently cyclic. And there are really no unexpected turns of events. That said, I did rather enjoy it and would not at all have been "ruined" by hearing what passesfor a plot twist.

Put this in the wrong forum, though I suppose this does lead to me being annoyed that Reddit can crush all Star Wars spoiler messages, but somehow not protect women and minorities against bigotry.

:( Utility companies and USPS are not my friends right now. For those that don't know, I have been constructing a new house for the better part of the year. The power company delayed our certificate of occupancy about 2 weeks. Pretty agonizing when the only thing between you and moving into your newly completed house is the power company hooking up permanent power and having the inspector come out to give it his blessing.

Next up is the local ISP. I called to get hooked up at the beginning of the month. Long story short, they have been giving me the run around all month and making appointments to which they never show. I lost track of how many times I have called them but the last time I did get someone helpful that called the local engineer and gave me a real update from the horse's mouth. Apparently I am so remote (~3 miles from downtown  ) that they have to install some extra hardware to get out to me. Probably bullshit because I can see the underground phone line a few hundred feet away from my house but at least they are assuring me that I can get connected...eventually.

Finally is USPS. My street is only 1.5 miles long and forms a short loop at the end. USPS delivers the mail to the top half of the loop and turns around in some guy's driveway. I'm less than a quarter mile away from that guy's driveway on the opposite end of the loop. USPS refuses to just travel the length to the loop to deliver mail to my house. They haven't given me a reason why they won't deliver to my house. The road is paved and in good condition. They want me to put my box next near the turn around spot which puts it in a really awkward place. Not to mention that I would have to get permission from my neighbor to do so.

So my options are:
1. Petition them to extend the route. Possibly recruit the one other house that they are skipping over to aid in the petition.
2. Put the mailbox where they want which would be really inconvenient and confusing for anyone trying to find my house.
3. Put the mailbox somewhere else on the road that less awkward and on the route.
4. Apply for a free PO box because they won't deliver to me (apparently that is a thing). Though this would stick it to them, due to their crappy office hours, I'd only be able to get packages on Saturday.
5. Get a PO box at the post office that is next door to my work. I'd be able to get packages during the day but then I'd have to pay for a PO box.

:) I have a new house.
