My Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 arrived today - a present to myself for getting a promotion at work. It is pretty fantastic. This is my fourth Hori Stick I've ever owned and it feels like a true evolution for their products.
It has a build quality that feels sturdy like the Wii Fight Stick but with much nicer finishes and it has all the features that I liked about the Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick plus the thing I have always wanted most of all: the ability to map the stick to the left or right thumb sticks instead of having it locked to the d-pad.
Throw in the ability to plug it into my computer and I am all smiles now.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Smile: My 7yr old son beat his first game - LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins - Nintendo 3DS.
When he got his 2DS for his 6th birthday he got that game along with MK7. Since then he has collected SSB, Pokemon, and the LEGO Movie game. When he got those other games he said "I will play those after I beat LEGO City". The boy is focused and determined. My kids really only play games in the car on long trips (other than his new obsession for Ridge Racer PC) and I have to give him credit he stayed focused and didn't play the other games.
Now instead of starting a different game, he noticed the game started over with all of his equipment and I showed him that there were more items he could collect... he has decided to keep playing to get all of the other stuff. I am raising a Completest Gamer, and I am proud of the kid.

Oh right right, Ryu in Smash, also a Nintendo propertyFlake wrote:And Street Fighter?TSTR wrote:but don't you only play nintendo games???
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Exactly. And with Ryu in Tatsunoko vs Capcom crossing with Batsu and Morrigan, my complete love of Rival Schools and affection for Dark Stalkers are legit, too. That also draws in the entirety of SNK thanks to Capcom vs SNK 2: EO.TSTR wrote:Oh right right, Ryu in Smash, also a Nintendo propertyFlake wrote:And Street Fighter?TSTR wrote:but don't you only play nintendo games???
As long as you guys never notice me playing Fall Out 4 later this year, I'm solid.

Cute story SB! Would he recommend LEGO City? I hear it's pretty sweet for Wii U. Amazing how he can stay focused and driven through it all and the other games on his "backlog".SpaceBooger wrote:Smile: My 7yr old son beat his first game - LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins - Nintendo 3DS.

I've never heard of this game. Is it related to the Darkstalkers series at all?Flake wrote: Dark Stalkers

I find this post shallow and pedantic.noiseredux wrote:I've never heard of this game. Is it related to the Darkstalkers series at all?Flake wrote: Dark Stalkers
