You don't think it's aged pretty badly? I loved it the first time I saw it, can't watch it at all now. Maybe it's because I know what to expect, maybe it's because denzel plays the same character in every movie.

Going to watch BATMAN BEGINS tonight. At first viewing, I loved it. Watched it again a few weeks ago and it felt dreadfully stiff and boring, things a Batman movie shouldn't be.

I think it holds up pretty well, generally no movie is as good the second time as it is the first, espeically if the movie has plot twists, so you know about Denzel's character from the start.

I do agree on his 'same character' in every movie though.

Just to let you know, I'm not criticizing your taste in movies. I'm very hyper-critical when it comes to judging movies, and I know it. My favorite movie of all time is probably HARVEY, and it usually puts people to sleep.

A lot like PAYBACK, TRAINING DAY just fell flat for me the second time around. Both movies have the same gritty color scheme that after a few hundred frames, just gets tired and repetitive. Ethan has an excellent performance, but I just don't think it makes up for all the shitty dialogue. Too cliche for me. But I'm a movie hypocrite. My views on movies can change drastically with a second viewing.

I think I'll stand firm on the fact that BATMAN BEGINS is stiff.

I know I'll stand firm that THE MONSTER SQUAD will be awesome until the Earth implodes.

Didn'nt think you were, and even if you did, it woulnt phase me, I dont expect people to enjoy every movie I do, and vice versa. I like discussing movies, even if 99% of people hate a movie I love, doesnt bother me none, I watch movies that I enjoy, not because other people do.

I found it average at best. I am also one of the few who found Dark Knight a only slightly better than average Batman movie (The Tim B ones still are the best to me), if Ledger didnt die, that movie would have been just as average as the first to most people (I feel).

The working title was "The Kung-Fu Kid", but was changed to piggyback on the success of the earlier installments.
No way! Would've been better.

Loved it. Found out just now on Wikipedia that it was a box-office flop and recevied mostly negative reviews. But NetFlix gave it near-4 stars.

Triplets of Belville. Loved the art direction and soundtrack, plot was lacking. I did like the triplet who had the cat shaw. Anyone who fishes with a potato masher is a cool character in my book.

Next up is The Great Gatspy - Redford version. I havent seen it in almost twenty years.

I saw Predators last night, overall I thought it was a good movie, only a few issues- length being one, scenes with Laurence Fishburne were unneeded, only other problem was Adrien Brody's voice--it suffered the same problem that Christian Bales did in Batman, too deep! Other than that, all the fight scenes were great, great gore, a predator on predator fight, and best of all-a man fights a predator with a samurai sword, overall- B
