One day the Vita will be a hot retro collector's item. I'll make my money back on these games in spades when I sell them in 10-15 years.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
out of curiosity, how has PSP stuff fared in that regard? Last I saw prices were still damn low, but it's been a few years ago since I've paid any attention.

Even if I never make much money off reselling them, I still get to enjoy some esoteric JRPGs with ecchi sprinkles on top, so it's win win for me either way.MrPopo wrote:I can see no way this will go badly for you.

B-tier RPGs like that usually fare pretty well on the secondary market, so I don't think it's a bad plan.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
It does seem that Vita JRPGs get more limited runs than PSP JRPGs did. I've seen evidence of this in the Japanese market, and certainly in the domestic one. Vita JRPGs also appear to take longer to depreciate in the immediate years of release than PSP JRPGs did.
I want to be clear though that "I can sell this someday at a big markup" is not the impetus for me buying Vita JRPGs. Rather I love my Vita, and I like quirky JRPGs, even if they're not AAA/B+ quality*. Doubly so with the waifu angle. So this stuff is collectable to me in that sense first and foremost. If I can sell them years from now for a profit, that's just a nice bonus.
*And really guys, how often do we see AAA or even B+ quality JRPGs released these days on any platform? Not often.

Including the one that just got announced not long ago, 13 with 12 of them released in the West (as of October 2016). Which is at least 476 too few.BoneSnapDeez wrote:How many NepNep games are we up to at this point?

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Vita gripe: so my one 16gb card is nearly full, but Helldivers needs a 1.6gb update and the kicker is I know the update is going to delete old data AFTER it's installed, but I have to still go and delete 1.6 gb of games and then re-download them after the update takes effect.

Everyone needs a 64GB memory card trust me!

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I'm going to get one whenever my Vita starts to get full, but since I never download games - I only have three right now (Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, and Monster Monpiece) - I'm *hoping* that my 8 GB will last me at least a little while longer. I haven't checked how much space I have left, but I know I've at least got 2 or 3 GB left.TEKTORO wrote:Everyone needs a 64GB memory card trust me!
