Great Pickup on Parasite Eve! If you don't do the Extra Dungeon, the game can be beaten in less than 20 hours, which is great for a RPG.

I know you said that you wanted to play it in the Fall, which would be great cause it is kind of a spooky game, so perfect for Halloween. But, the game takes place around Christmas/Winter. So, if you waited a little while longer, it would be very appropriate to play it later.

But, it doesn't matter when, it should still be played any time of the year!

Thanks, Markies! Good to know about the extra dungeon. I usually try to complete additional content, so I'll most likely give it a shot. With the Christmas theme, maybe I'll play this game a bit later, as there are a few other survival horror games on my list to finish.

A new game store opened up in Shelby, a little bit east of Charlotte, like six or seven months ago, and the owner is friends with one of my college friends. I had a box of relatively low value games still that Lost Ark in Greensboro didn't buy from me last month, so I figured I'd take a road trip down to Shelby and see what I could get for them there. I ended up going with store credit vs cash because of the difference between the two and because...well hell, it's been a busy and hectic month, so I wanted to treat myself.

I also have Sonic Colors Ultimate for Switch and while I haven't played much of it, I haven't encountered many of the glitches I've heard about. And I got it when it came out.

Plus TBH Sonic Colors is probably the one 3D Sonic game most deserving of a remaster.

Also, anyone else think it's crazy we got a port of Dying Light for Switch, which runs quite nice for such comparably weaker hardware, but NOT Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide? I'd figure they'd be easier to port, since Switch ports of early-to-mid seventh generation would be easier than a game that came out early in the eighth generation.

Now, obviously a native non-cloud port of Dead Island 2 would be a total crapshoot. Maybe on the Switch 2?

Nice pick-ups, Elk! Had a chance to play a bit of Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes at my friend's place a year or two ago. The game looks and feels very similar to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Really enjoyed what I played of it.

I used to play the D&D Heroes demo on a demo disc I had years ago. I always regretted not getting the game. I'm also royally pissed it didn't get ported to other consoles, or that emulation of the original Xbox isn't really a viable option.

Dark Alliance is one of my most fondly remembered Gamecube games, so that's a glowing recommendation in my book. The only consoles I have unpacked are my Switch and Series X, so it will be a while until I'm able to check out most of these games. I'm staying with my mom for 6 to 12 months as I sell my house in Henderson and buy one in Elkin, and I plan to keep most of my consoles packed up so I don't have to do a ton of repacking in the spring.

I think you'll really like D&D: Heroes when you get a chance to give it a go. It looks like the game could be running on the same engine as Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, but from what I understand Snowblind Studios wasn't involved.

Also, best of luck with selling the house and all the moving. Makes total sense to keep everything packed away until you're settled at your new place.
