aiming for a 1CC on Espgaluda? I'm already proud of you, sir.
Re: Summer Game Challenge 2013 - Begin when ready!
dear god for the love of all that is decent no! This game is absolute garbage and a complete waste of time. By FAR one of the worst "hyped" games of the past decade, and not worth the plastic it is printed on.noiseredux wrote: Madworld (Wii)
Play almost anything else and I won't even knock its "classic" status. Put Eternal Champions back on or something. No. No. No.

really? Weird. I thought you were going to praise the inclusion of a Wii title. What did you think of my other picks?dsheinem wrote:dear god for the love of all that is decent no! Well, as you know, i've been playing it again the past week and have been getting closer, so it was a natural for my first pick - and as i've never credit fed through it, i've never seen the last bosses, so meets the criteria.noiseredux wrote:aiming for a 1CC on Espgaluda? I think MadWorld looks interesting. Definitely worth the $3 I payed for it. I don't like that it displays in 480i, but otherwise it seems pretty good for a mindless, gore-fest, beat-em-up. There's also some good ol' fashioned blacksploitation nods.
Dave, may I assume that you're not a fan of Death Race?

Nope, none of this is in any way done well or the least bit redeeming. You got robbed of your $3.pierrot wrote:it seems pretty good for a mindless, gore-fest, beat-em-up. There's also some good ol' fashioned blacksploitation nods.
Otherwise, noise? I guess Doom 3 is the only one I'd really point to as questionable as a "classic" - maybe hold it for the "Month of Horror" instead?

sonofa... I feel like I don't even know you anymore. I picked up Doom 3 on the way home today and was like "now THIS is one that DSH will approve of."dsheinem wrote:Nope, none of this is in any way done well or the least bit redeeming. Well... what about Doom 1 or 2? This is the LE with all 3 games. I played the first a lot in Jr. High, but it was just the shareware version, not the full game.
Fuck.

Doom I and II are regarded as high marks of the genre and trend setters in many ways.noiseredux wrote:sonofa... I feel like I don't even know you anymore. Doom III is a divisive game that is plagued with problems and did little to set the FPS world on fire. Granted, it had a lot to live up to and was the first "miss" for iD in a loooong time, and there are people who like it well enough (like me) - but the "classic" tag doesn't apply to it the way it does to its predecessors.

Re: Summer Game Challenge 2013 - Begin when ready!
should I be leaning towards 1 which I've played some of but not all, or 2 which I've played none of?

if you haven't finished 1 beat it. it is also shorter.noiseredux wrote:should I be leaning towards 1 which I've played some of but not all, or 2 which I've played none of?
