Err... I just paid up, but I think it was paid to dsheinem's regular paypal account.

I used the link in the invoice email, but I'm concerned just the same.

Sorry if I just did something stupid on what should be a simple thing...

it does go to my PayPal, as has been the case the past two years. We looked into using Chipin or setting up another payment method through GameGavel, but Mike thought there'd be no way to track the payment that way and getting addresses wasn't a definite (or at least we'd be unable to track that it had gone through, since sometimes PayPal payments come in as "pending"). In any case, I'll just send a payment and letter directly to the charity again this year. Heck, when we did that for the Betty Ford Clinic a few years ago they even gave us a nice little write up in their newsletter

There should be a Paypal button imbedded within the invoice sent to you. But depending on how Dave sent them, it may be missing. If so you can pay him directly. Contact him for his paypal payment address as it is different from the one listed under his name on GameGavel. I would post it here public, but not sure if he would want that or not.

Dang, I was hoping to do more than just donate.

This can be another thread, but does anyone find it unethical to bid on your own items? I know that with some items placing a higher bid can actually save you money due to shipping costs, and since this is for charity, I placed bids (I believe) on every single item I donated. I see bidding on your own items as a win win situation as people will pay what the market bares, so why not take advantage of it?

i bid on a couple items i donated. i think that since it's for charity, and as long as you pay up (durr) then you're not in any moral violation or anything.

I don't see a problem with bidding on your own stuff in this case either as there was no way to give a certain amount on an item. You couldn't say "$5 for the red whatsit" and have that be what you paid like we did in the past. If you bid $5, it was $1 until someone else bid against you.
