Well the organizers have already said that they're looking into different locations to build their cultural center so I doubt they'll go through with building anything there.

Honestly at this point I'd say building anything there would be a pretty major safety concern.

I'm not Politigibital Scientologist, but I don't see how Fascism plays into this.

I'd say it's mainly the fact that people STILL don't understand that the vast majority of muslims are NOT extremist anti-american terroists.

I heard they drank beer in Germany between WW1 and WW2. Is beer fascist?

I wasn't actually trying to be snarky in my previous post. I truly am not a political scientist, and I really am not an expert on fascism. However, from my limited understanding of it, I do not see how the opposition to the Mosque, or the apparent decision to try to locate it elsewhere, would fall under that term. I could easily be wrong. Care to straighten me out?

Well all the hate towards muslims reminds me of the hate towards Jews. The winners of WW2 don't want to say it, but there were people who hated the Jews in their countries as well.

What we are seeing here is a clear violation of the muslims' rights. Τhey have the right to build a culture centre anywhere they want. But a bunch of fanatics have managed to deprive them of that right through protesting, which reminds me of Nazi's protesting against the Jews.

If the economy takes a turn for the worst, you can be sure that people will look for a scapegoat. And it will turn violent.

And what worries me is that radical right wing parties all over Europe are winning more seats in parliament. And their main policy that helped them, is attacking immigrants and specially Muslims.

heck look at Sarcozy kicking gipsies our of the country even though he didn't have the right to do that. And most of the French public supported that.

Likewise in the states. How many people have supported this act of hate against the muslims?

The Nazi's used every single crime committed by a Jew as excuse to deprive them of their rights. It didn't happen overnight you know. Slowly the people were blinded by hate and Hitler turned the Jews into a scapegoat for every problem Germany had at the time.

And this is what I'm seeing is happening with modern society. Western society is turning more and more hateful towards the Muslims.

I'm afraid WW3 will be a hunt for Muslims. Heck cow started a middle-eastern tour, but it seams their gig in Iran has been cancelled for now.

To be totally honest, you could compare just about anything to World War II. Just sayin...

Immigrants in general make convenient scapegoats, especially during troubled economic times. That's nothing new at all, really. I do somewhat worry what lies over the horizon though...

I'll be civil war for me ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/econ ... -Sinn.html ). I should probably leave the country, and return to join the winning side when it'll be almost over.

And beer ain't as fascist as Vodka. Damn you Smirnoff
