I have been considering getting a GCN component cable for this reason. The question is though, is it really worth playing GB/GBC/GBA games in 480p? I ask because my Wii already has a component cable, so the GBP is the only GCN "game" that will be taking advantage of 480p... despite the games themselves not being HD.

well they look great, but is it "worth" it? I'm not sure. It's up to your eyes. Although I have component cables hooked up to my big LCD TV in the living room, I do 99.9% of my playing through my other Cube hooked up to my VGA LCD, which is not HD (it's basically S-Video), and it looks far worse than the HD, but doesn't bother ME. Some people are pickier about it (or their eyes are).

I play mine on S-Video and I'm pretty happy with it.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Alone in the Dark looks KILLER for a GBC game! Thanks for the tip.

Wow! GBC Alone in the Dark looks very impressive, thought it was a GBA game.

Alright, enough already. Knock it off. Messing with him in one thread is fine, but it doesn't need to spread.
