Been thinking of rewatching Captain Tylor or Nadesico myself sometime soon haha. Those are pretty fun.
BD rips? Nah dude, I'm just watching some DVDs I found at Goodwill. I'm always on the lookout for Anime on the cheap. I guess I could download it, but I have very limited internet access when I'm at home.

The orange DVD box sets of Dragon Ball Z have a "marathon mode" that lets you go straight from the end of one episode to the beginning of the next skipping the "next time on DBZ" preview, the closing sequence, and the opening theme.
I wish all DVD sets had this feature, especially long shows.

I really like how Netflix does that as well with a lot of their series if you watch them back to back it just skips the useless info and gets straight to the show most of the time.
With One Piece it kind of gets ridiculous because you have the intro, intro song, which takes up 3+ minutes every episode and the episode is only 20 or so minutes long to begin with so that is quite a chunk

These are decent:

I could probably think of quite a few more but 'eh.
Somebody didn't read my whole poooost~

Thanks for the other two, though. I'll look them up

It's kind of hard finding shows that I'd call straight-up horror. I tried to do a quick Wiki search, but I'd consider several titles they listed to lean more towards action rather than horror (looking at you, Attack on Titan.) Looking through the list, it's kind of hard for me to tell if I'd consider what's listed horror, or just shows that have 'horror' elements.

Yes she is....and actually just finished the lily arc since we're on the way to impel down right now. I haven't been as determined to watch it as i used to. Plus I'd rather let about 20 or so episodes drop especially on a show like this before watching. This is one of many shows that is annoying to wait on and I'm not switching to sub now...I've watched it this far and they're still dubbing so I'm continuing that way. Funi dubs are decent enough in my opinion. The way I see it is it's not 4kids they can't do any worse than that. Yeah they've changed sake to brew but ehh that doesn't bother me as much as 4kids cigarette to lollipop.

Episodes are about 22-24 minutes from the looks of it. The intro and recap is 4 minutes if it has that recap. On roku it's not that hard to skip the first 4 minutes but on my internet it takes half that time to buffer it out since i fast forward right as I click the episode(at least it goes straight to the next episode when I back out of it before the next episode thing(for me that's too spoilierific)). Which I've memorized that Gol D Roger bit for when they play it...or at least mostly because I've been skipping that part for awhile XD
Makes me really hope it's a feature whenever the new funi app finally drops the current one on my phone by phunware is a broken piece of crap that at 400+ episodes takes forever to get to to start where i am and keep going when I finish a episode....I ought to get caught up on fairy tail haven't gotten around to it lately since again I binge watch it. I'm horrible at keeping up with even the american shows I watch since I never remember when episodes drop or remember to watch since I only do netflix, hulu, and funi basically

I should never reply to this forum until I've had my morning coffee. I do apologize to you. That's one of my own massive pet peeves, when someone does that to me.
I'm sure there are some really good horror animes I'm forgetting. I'll take some time out soon to rack my brain and see what I can remember actually being good in this realm.
I just remembered Wicked City, I think it counts.

I'll be back with more titles later.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

'Tis all good, Ex. I'm in no way irked, just messin' with ya.

Wicked City is good. I actually own that one. It's a bit wacky and shows a bit of its age, but I'd definitely consider it horror.
I'll be back with more titles later.

Recaps have been getting longer and longer as the show progresses for example last weeks episode 729. The Intro/recap went a full 6 minutes and the show was a total of 23 minutes and 55 seconds long including the minute long teaser for the next episode. So that was 1/4th of their airtime down before the show even gets going. Every episode starts with the current 2:45 Intro song, then the really pointless after you've seen it 400+ times 50 second New World intro which gives a basic explanation of the show, and then there is around 2-3 minutes of recap on average. It's kind of their version of filler they haven't really done a filler arc in a long time so they just pad the hell out of everything. Which I guess I prefer over the horrifically bad fillers some other shows(*stares at Naruto*) put out.
I've got the timing down to where I can skip through the crap in about 5 seconds after I let the show buffer up, but it's still annoying to see such a huge chunk of it wasted especially when a single fight can take 10-15 episodes anymore. I'd rather they just take a break to give themselves some room to breath.

If there was any show that needed the "Kai" treatment, it is One Piece.
