Best quote:

From a review: "Really, I’ve got winking-Jesus postcards that look better."

From a commenter: "the last airbender was not a bad movie it was what you wo call a descent movie for one its way btter than dragonball evolution and the graphics are really good the story feels as though it is cramped but then the runtime is onlu 1 hour 43 minutes and well the acting could have been better but hey they were just kids and it was still ite and did i mention how great the graphics was reall y good i hope this one does good in the box office highly reccomend u seeing it it was a good film 3 out of 5 stars"
The best response to the quote from the commentator! "you should really get in to the buisness of movie reviews chad, so that i'll know where to find you so i can airbend your mouth shut...." I just thought this was hilarious.

And I must agree with a couple of those reviews about the need for Night to explain EVERYTHING! Give the audience some credit. Also, he went out of his way not to have a script resembling anything from the original series, but then certain stupid lines from the show that had no meaning and weren't really important he must have found amazing because he threw them in at weird moments.

As chad said, The Last Airbender is a descent movie, descending right into Hades.

A shame. I loved Avatar:The Last Airbender (It's the best thing to happen to Nick since Zim)... but I knew Shyamalamadingdong (or maybe Shamalan) would kill it.

Do we have any active Kiwis here? Taika Waititi's Boy looks awesome and I've kept it in mind since Sundance 2010. There's no news of a DVD release.. It would be a shame to have to grab the screener I want the original DVD! I don't think I ever met a Maori in my life but somehow I fell in love with them after watching the Poi-E music vid  Movie looks like a solid feel-good comedy, with integral Michael Jackson references.

Watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland last night, one of the worst movies of the past year, just awful. Visually I guess it was ok, but the acting was pretty boring and or worn out (you Mr. Depp), and the movie was just far to long and riddled with bad jokes. One other thing to mention, I was watching this movie with my 5 year old brother and 11 year old sister, this movie was very violent for a PG rating, there were decapitations, eyes being gauged out, and floating heads in a stream. I of all people am totally ok with this, but when the box says PG, I really don't expect to see that kind of stuff, which is very frightening to little kids, so that is a warning to anyone who planned on watching it with a young one, ha

Funny how everyone has somehow developed the same nickname for Night. Shyamalamadingdong... weird...

Anyhoo. Saw Jaws 2 last night. I feel this is one franchise where the sequel is just as good as the first. I mean the first is great, but I think the second is pretty darn close quality and story wise. I am about to rewatch the 3rd, which I haven't seen in a lllooonnnggg time. I remember it not being too bad, but we will see.
