It's worth being unclean in the eyes of God for.

 Surprisingly busy Tuesday!! Throw in the fact that I got in 40 minutes late, had to make twice baked potatoes (aka "stuffers"), chop cabbage for coleslaw AND make breadcrumbs, and I got out of there around half past 3pm (I'm supposed to be out of there by 3pm at the latest) and still had to leave a bus tub of dishes for the dinner shift dishwasher (since the stuff would have had me there by the time my dinner shift counterpart showed up).

:D New trailer for the Jem movie here.

I don't think they realize just how true that statement is. The Jem movie that people who know what Jem is doesn't exist. It's certainly not this movie.

Frown: Many things have happened this year that indicate in no uncertain terms that my step-daughter is growing up. I don't have any kids of my own and I don't really want any. I've taken a particular joy in getting to be that positive dad type guy that no one else managed to be for her and although I am excited and proud to see what kind of woman she will become in the coming years...I'm also a little sad because I feel like I figured out how to be a dad to her just in time for her to not really want one.

Smile: Super Mario Maker is coming out and I've got that day off from work.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I know I have said this before, but my wife is a hardcore Jem fan. Enough that Samantha Newark, the speaking voice of Jem, follows my wife on facebook and they get dinner occasionally. And when I sent her a screenshot of Synergy from the new trailer she said she felt like throwing up. The belief in the Jem community is that the show is the directors attempt at making a third Justin Bebier movie, but tying it in with a new property.

Its funny how much it gets right and wrong at the same time. Sure it gives the world what Jem would be as if it was done today - She would get famous on the internet virally then get a real contract. Lets face it, the plot of the original would not make for a good movie. But they could have handled it all better. This isnt like the Transformers or Gi Joe movies, those got the essence of the original, this is like a puppeteer moving a hollowed out husk around.
