Then I moved on to the original and Zeta, which were both amazing. Then school started again and I couldn't binge watch like I used to. But I did finish War in the Pocket which was both amazing and heartbreaking. I started X, G, and ZZ. I'm putting X and G on hold until I finish ZZ so I can start on Iron-Blooded Orphans since that looks cool.

Don't feel bad if you don't make it through ZZ. That entire series is just phoned in and Char's Counterattack essentially ignores it. ANIME JA NAI is a great song though.

And yeah, War in the Pocket is probably the best Gundam product from an artistic standpoint. It transcends the franchise and is just a really classic work of anime in general.

I'm at episode 30 or so now so it's getting better. Honestly I'll probably be able to drag myself through it since apparently it's required watching for Unicorn.
But yeah 0080 was great. Kind of a hypocritical message (weapons are not toys, war is not cool, etc.) when you realize that the series wouldn't have made it past the first few years had Bandai not whored it out for merchandise. Which is of course why a model kit of the Alex is on my Christmas list.
Insert clever quote here.

Funimation has re-released Akira. They included the 2001 re-mastered english dub as well as the original 1988 english dub. Kinda nice to include both.

I just realized there is a fourth season of Miname-ke. I must acquire this.

Yugioh!

Man I forgot how much i freaking love this series! Only bad part is I have a itch now to play one of my yugioh games that I have. Though I do wonder what it would be like if someone went back and redubbed the series knowing how much hate there is for 4kids.

Too bad gamefreak/pokemon co won't be as good to put all the episodes online for people to watch on one service that's complete without big chunks missing(especially since i would love to watch the series from the beginning since I lost track near the end of hoenn).....it's a shame given that the orignal-hoenn were awesome and now it just seems weird with the latest ones.

We got a brand new, more manga faithful Fullmetal Alchemist. We got a re-release of Sailor Moon with a new dub. We're getting more DGrayman and Berserk. We've gotten a ton of never-before-released classics (Rose of Versailles) and re-releases lately (Cardcapter Sakura). Plus, Funimation bought up the rights to a lot of series after their distributers went defunct or quit licensing titles (even if they haven't done much with them yet, the buggers.)

At this point I think it's safe to say that anything is possible. So, while I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, I think you can feel free to cross your fingers.

I guess, definitely seems less farfetch'd than gamefreak/pokemon co posting all pokemon episodes on one service in their entirety so far...come on game freak is it that hard?

Death Note. So many great ideas here that are so cleverly written, but man the dialogue in some scenes is so bad

All this Gundam talk led me to rewatch Gundam Wing on DVD.

Gundam Wing was my introduction to Gundam on toonami back in the day. This was the show that got me interested in Gundam in the first place. Now that I've rewatched a few episodes, I can't believe that I ever sat through this dribble. I was fifteen when this aired on Toonami, and I loved all the giant robots and I thought ever character was cool (except Quatre). Now the whole thing is just unbearable melodrama.

As an adult, I notice ridiculous stupid things that I completely overlooked as a teenager. For instance, the protagonists names are Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatre, and Chang. It dawned on me that their names are literally one, two, three, four, five. It's like the writers were not even trying. Can you imagine a conversation in the writers room? "Hey guys, what should we call the second guy?" (vacant stares and head scratching) "How 'bout Duo?"

Just in the first few episodes there are so many countless improbable plot holes that I couldn't suspend disbelief any more. I hate to say this, but I'm giving Gundam Wing a thumbs down. This one doesn't hold up to the test of time. I wish I hadn't rewatched it. I should have left it a memory.
