I do not want to play DS games on an HDTV, lol
The extremely hard to find games appearing on Virtual Console could be convenient though.

256x192 pixels. No worse than playing a 3DO or Saturn in some cases.
Older. Not wiser.

That image is of Brain Age, and since you turn the DS sideways to play it that image makes perfect sense for it. It also means it's a terrible way to show how the DS emulation will work in general.

I can think of a few DS games I wouldnt mind rebuying on the Wiiu. If they can get multiplayer to work on them more the better.

Metroid Prime Hunters might actually be enjoyable. That'd be worth the price of admission.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I will gladly buy a second Wiiu if they can give me certain DS games with multiplayer. Mario Kart DS, FFCC Rings of Fate/Echoes of Time, Phantasy Star Zero, Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, Professor Layton 1-3, Pokemon Heart Gold, for example. However knowing how Virtual Console launches go, we wont have multiplayer, and the games will be few and far between. The odds of the Square and Sony games I mentioned are very low, as is Pokemon. Layton has a very good chance though.

Man...if they were able to get Pokemon to work and keep the multi-player that would drive people insane.fastbilly1 wrote:I will gladly buy a second Wiiu if they can give me certain DS games with multiplayer. I for one am not too excited about the DS virtual console. I still have a hefty library of DS games and don't see it as something I will be investing heavily in. Is it a smart move? Yes. I feel like they need to integrate as many consoles into their virtual console library and get what they can on both the WiiU and the 3DS

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Honestly, I would have preferred something like this to play DS games (or better yet, 3DS games) on a Wii U, as opposed to a Virtual Console type service:

But that doesn't matter now, the Wii U needs all the help it can get, and this is a start, as long as they do a better job with the DS Virtual Console than they are with the Wii U Virtual Console (which isn't saying much).
Now gimme some Bangai O Spirits on the big screen, plz?

What the hell? We don't have VC gamecube games, but we get DS games? Games that are already fully playable on current portable hardware? A desperation move to show that the gamepad has a purpose, or what?
