Yeah I play on and off at the moment. Only to pick up daily rewards to afford some of the new packs when they come out.

Fav deck at the moment? Honestly none the meta is super stale (face Hunter, aggro mage, ramp druid etc) that I hope the switch to standard and classic really changes things

I'm playing a new Druid deck.

It has a ton of options - it's an aggro deck, but it doesn't have to go face right away, sometimes I just control all the way through turn 9.

Soul of the Forest x2
Savage Roar x2
Poison Seeds x2
Force of Nature x2
Power of the Wild x2
Swipe x2
Living Roots x2
Innervate x2
Echoing Ooze x2
Haunted Creeper x2

The rest of the deck is interchangeable.

I'm missing a couple of those unfortunately.

dust is your friend. people always (best I can tell) craft one card at a time without a real vision. craft cards for just one deck first.

yo did anyone know about this Hearthstone competitor that Bethesda is working on? The Elder Scroll Legends.
It features a single-player campaign which will serve as a tutorial and “jump-start your collection” of cards, as well as multiple online modes. Decks will actually have “classes,” based on the RPG-style attributes used to craft them: Strength and agility will give you an Archer deck, for instance, while intelligence and willpower combine to make a Mage deck.
Apparently in beta now...

Yes I've heard of it. It will fail.

Hah, maybe that was too negative. Just feels like the same situation with MMOs after WoW came out, almost not worth bothering for a company to put out something.

So the new format dropped and I'm not impressed. While the new cards are interesting they are also very, very overpowered and undervalued in most cases. I think this is a good stopping point for me. Thank you Blizzard for the good times.

Interesting - I can't express in terms how opposite our opinions are on this.

The cards are similar attack/health as other minions of the same cost with a buff. The buffs are more powerful, but they are also not immediate - so they need to be. There is no guarantee that buff will ever take place. You are running a gamble deck, a series of ITTT sequences that even if done exactly as you design - STILL does not guarantee success.

You basically run a deck based around one card. For it to work you need to (A) draw the card (1 of 30) and (B) need to get to turn 10 (or possibly earlier if you had Thaurissian or Pint Sized Summoner in play) and (C) you need to be able to drop him when it makes sense; which is rarely on turn 10 - you want it to be game ender.

I had C'Thun drop on me half a dozen times last night and it was effective once. A few times he dropped, did his 12 damage to my minions and boss, and then I Big Gamed him, Shadow Word Deathed him, or just Ironbeaked him - and then you have the opponent who set up his whole game for one card - and it didn't work.

The C'Thun dynamic adds dozens of more deck options and strategies. The cards are well-balanced. I love it.
