Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
Re: Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
I'm kind of surprised they didn't announce a Xenoblade pack-in boxed version of the game with the system. That would be a smart way to kick off the system too, but maybe it will happen and they don't want to deflate Monster Hunter 4 at all.

Re: Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
Hmm what to do. My initial feeling was to just buy one at my leisure when a LE came out that I was interested in, but if they transfer your old data and whatnot the $100 trade isn't bad. Then again I'd have to somehow land the Monster Hunter version, which I'm not that into but it's a nice looking rig.
I dunno, I have the Mario/Luigi Dream Team LE and I like it quite a lot. Still have the box/papers/everything. It's not exactly a hot item but I can picture flipping it for at least $100 down the road CIB.

Pardon. It's in reference to my current used model though so "sell" would be slightly more appropiateninjainspandex wrote:uggh please don't use the F wordSnatch1414 wrote:Hmm what to do. Flipping would mean buying something with the sole purpose of reselling it at a higher price for proft
semantics

I guess for ease the Gamestop trade for $100 on an XL isn't that terrible, but wouldn't it just be more worth it to sell it yourself and get a good bit more? Ebay shows $150+/- 10 on average. Sure you'll lose 15% roughly to ebay and paypal ($15~) but hey that's the price of a game there plus the ac adapter those cheapskates left out.
I'd rather eat the full price up front and get it back a week or two later.

For the potential extra $20 or so, I'd rather not deal with the hassle of eBay. Plus, that number is likely to drop once the new one is on shelves, and I certainly can't do a system transfer in advance. $100 seems fair given the convenience. I've had the XL since day one, and the hinge is getting a little wonky so I'm happy to trade up.Tanooki wrote:I guess for ease the Gamestop trade for $100 on an XL isn't that terrible, but wouldn't it just be more worth it to sell it yourself and get a good bit more? I'm not going to mess with the upgrade this time, I did so last time. I think the new handheld from Ninty will be out within a year or two, and then I can play what I missed. I did much the same thing when the Game Boy Color came out, and just snagged a GBA. And I didn't do much the same thing when I bought a DSi.
Re: Yet another 3DS model announced - the NEW 3DS
The main reasons I'm not going to deal with the new 3DS is because, I want the smaller one. I'm very upset with Nintendo not giving me an option to use the smaller 3DS. Plus, there is no way I can import it since it is region locked. I currently a 3DS XL (the red Pokemon one) I brought a while back.
While I like it, I felt it was a bit too big. The new one has a screen (my sister has a Japanese new 3DS) that is between the original and XL but I've seen the new Nintendo 3DS XL already and it is bigger then the current XL. I felt the new Nintendo 3DS XL is more like a home console than a Handheld console. In fact, I'm seriously thinking about importing from Europe to get the "new" Nintendo 3DS if there is no release here in the near future since Nintendo's mind is still stuck in the 20th century with American's have big hands, region locking and not giving us what everyone else has.
