The machines in North Carolina print a visible, paper ballot as you input your choice on the touch screen. I always check to make sure that the printed ballot matches my choice on the touch screen. (It has always matched...I have never had any problems with the machines in this state.)DinnerX wrote:I submitted my electronic ballot and the machine displayed something like "Your votes have been counted" and then switched over to another screen. I stared at it for a little while and thought "Well, I sure hope they were."o.pwuaioc wrote:Yes! Even though Obama won, I think there are major problems with electronic voting, and I'd wager money that there are changed votes in Ohio.DinnerX wrote:On a more serious note, does electronic voting bother anyone? I had to use a touchscreen machine to vote because they had run out of ballots. It seems insecure with no physical trace.

Or like my mom's reaction when she saw me playing Mario 64 at Toy Works, "Oh, that's much better!"prfsnl_gmr wrote:The Nintendo 64? We might be needing to add a star to our flag y'all. The possibility of that sounds really cool to see in our lifetimes.

Yay, R-74 passed in WA, so the law that was already passed allowing same sex marriage gets to stay in effect.

Obama's acceptance speech was fucking amazing. Where was this all campaign? Fucking goosebumps.

I just got back from a bit of dancing in the streets of downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill. Some guy parked his car, set up a mobile DJ, and just started playing music. The cops didn't even bother to stop it and just redirected traffic instead. Everyone was very excited about Obama's win and Referendum 74 (gay marriage is legal in WA) and you could definitely smell the excitement about legal marijuana, if you know what I mean.

Wait what? I honestly haven't paid attention to any of this but have grown since I was 15 and have gotten very good at it. Can I just move my operation out there legally now? California has way to much red tape and insane property tax for me to consider going there to grow.
