Dishonored. Take lots of pictures.

This sums up my thoughts on the rest of the show quite well.
That article makes a lot of sense. E3 is not really for gamers - it is for purchasers (e.g. GameStop, Target, Best Buy, etc.) and - even moreso - for shareholders. The reason why we get ridiculous promises of life-changing experiences and silly demos of dancing games is because that is what appeals to the target for this show, what will get picked up by CNN, MSNBC, FOX, etc. Buzz on sites like this are all well and good, but a quick look over the list of games in past years' GOTY threads on this forum prove that we are far from the demographic that drives the industry.

I believe the 160GB model is $200 at Gamestop.

Chicago is easily my favorite big city. A game set there sounds cool.

Well, to me it looks like Sony had the best E3 of the console companies, unless Nintendo's 3DS news later really blows us away.

Oh yeah. Well, I think all the current-gen systems could use a $50-$100 price drop. It's lame that an Xbox 360 can still cost $400.

Very lame, considering that's what I payed in 2005 for one. :?

By this point in the oXbox's life, it was discontinued and could be had for less than $100.

I will say that before the Nintendo press conference I had almost no interest in the Wii U. I am now of the opinion that I am at least interested in trying it out, so they are slowly winning me over. They need better third-party support for new IPs (e.g. Zombie U) or new entries in existing third party IPs instead of "enhanced" ports.

The first party stuff looks solid as always, I thought. That's probably what tipped the scale for me, as last year they didn't have much to show in terms of Nintendo titles.
Dust 514 please? Pretty please.

What kind of gaming world are we living in where Ubisoft may have had the best of E3?

Sony had one or two neat things as did Nintendo and Microsoft was sad. Oh geeze....

I was also hoping for a surprise announcement of a price drop. This tech is 7 years (probably more like 8 or 9) old now. Any console at this point had major price drops. I think the SNES started at $200 and the Jr. dropped to $99 before the n64 came out.

I am also a little surprised that neither Sony nor Microsoft even teased or hinted or anything their next consoles in any way at all...

On an entirely unrelated note, the two games I am most excited from E3 so far are South Park: The Stick of Truth and Lego City Undercover.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

The one game I'm most excited about from this E3 is Pikmin 3. I've been crying out for a trailer ever since it was 'announced' 3 E3s ago. It looks like it takes some of the best elements of the first two based on the admittedly short preview we saw.

There'ssome cool stuff Nintendo DIDN'T show at their press conference being shown at www.nintendolife.com right now, with trailers from their E3 press page. A game from platinum games and a game which seems like a mix of warioware and game & watch.
