I didn't attack her yet, moving on for now. Her dialog is hilarious though something like: "Please just leave, we're peaceful and kind people." LOLOLOLOL, then why did everything in here try to murder me?!? Huh? HUH?

Her tail and one of her soul weapons are amazing for applying bleed. So you should totally murder her.

Ah, ok. She didn't attack right away so I was kind of just feeling out the boss arena and then my guy jumped off the side and sent me back to Anor Londo near the painting. I used a Homeward Bone, thinking that would send me back into the painting and it sent me to the first bonfire in Anor Londo which is out for me because I murdered the firekeeper so ... I just moved on. I guess I'll come back here in a bit and take her out.

I assume you mean Dragonslayer Armor? There are two possible NPCs you can summon here if you have moved their questlines along at all. One is on the steps, the lady knight can't remember her name, and the protector of the wannabe firekeeper, his name is also escaping me, starts with an E? Eamon? He is off to the right in the little church area.

The idea with this boss is to avoid the long sweeping frontal attack and avoid falling off the stage. If you see anything on the ground or any red stuff falling from the sky, break your focus and get the hell out of there as the angel thing is trying to wreck you. G'luck!

Cheers dude. I'm not using summon assists, and I think he's very close to falling (I've had him down to 1 hit a couple of times), he's just proving to be a bit more stubborn than the other bosses so far. I reckon just a few more attempts should do it, but then I was saying that about 30 attempts ago! Half the fun with these games is when you randomly reach that zen-like state and predict enough boss attacks to finally see them tumble.

I remember reading somewhere that the Painted World was more of a demo or framework for the entire game. They put a bunch of work into it and decided that they didn't want it to go to waste even though it didn't fit into the final build. I want to say Priscilla was originally intended to be the main focus of the lore/plot as well.

Which reminds me... Miyazaki is the main brain of DS3. The commonly recurring theme of cutting off dragon's tails for neat stuff on DS1 makes me think that I need to remember to take some stabs at some tails as I progress through the third game - just in case.

I've tried that on a couple of bosses, but haven't successfully found one that worked yet. But I'm so unlucky in Dark Souls 1 at accomplishing it, that maybe it is possible in DS3 and I just haven't got it yet. In DS1 the only one I have gotten so far is the gargoyle.

There's no tail stuff going on in Dark Souls 3.

No shortage of "Try tail" though.

Ok in DS1 I dispelled a certain illusion and now in front of where you fight Oreo and Smores, instead of Royal Sentinels there are some human NPCs. What's the deal with those dudes? Probably no story there, just curious if there is any lore behind them.

In other areas, I took care of the Hydra in Darkroot Basin, took out most of the heads with the Dragonslayer Greatbow and then got in close to finish him off. Went up to the tower and took on Havel, which isn't too bad since he wants to stay in his little room, so you can run in and take a few swipes and then head back out and he'll path back. Now I'm on to New Londo Ruins!

As I recall those NPCs are related to a covenant you haven't found yet.

Good thing. I've made some healthy progress through the Cathedral of the Deep and haven't even tried to get some tail. :D

I remember the illusion with all of the "Amazing chest ahead!" soapstones in front of it. Somehow her questline is tied into an optional boss (and a covenant that Popo is talking about). It's been a couple of years, so the details are hazy without hitting up a video or Wiki. Either way, I'm not sure how much you want spoiled.

Have fun in the ruins. That was one of my most hated places. Them ghosts...

The tails stuff is why I'll probably never platinum DS1. That and not only do you have to infuse weapons of every type, but max them out. And probably some covenant stuff.

Otherwise... I am one ring and two bosses away from the platinum for DS3. NG+ and NG++ were pretty much a cake walk. I did it all legit too with no exploits, clocking in a little over 105 hours right now.

I'll then have the platinum for Demon's, Bloodborne, and DS2-DS3! It irks me not to have that for DS1, but nothing about its trophy list looks that fun. I'm not THAT obsessed haha.
