Letting yr boy play an MVS cab = good parenting
Letting yr boy play Viewpoint = bad parenting

Game is HARD unless you play the heck out of it. Hard. Huge learning curve.

Get him a copy of SpinMasters, sorta like Metal Slug, but with happy kids using yo-yo's instead of machine guns. Excellent game.

Ha! My son is actually crazy good at it and doesn't seem to get discouraged. He has made it further than I have.

I've been trying to find a copy of Spinmasters but the one I've seen seemed overpriced.

My 2 year old daughter playing Cookie Monster Munch on the 2600. The lighting sucks but I had to record her without her knowledge, otherwise she would pay more attention to the camera than the game.

Yeah, that was the cutest thing I've seen all week when she ran up to the screen towards Cookie Monster.

Tonight my daughter (age 7) and I enjoyed Goof Troop together. We got up to the third level. We also played Uniracers.

Not exactly passing retro to a kid, but after a bit of training my dog now knows the difference between Nintendo (left) and Sega (right).

If I say "nintendo" she'll go to the left side of my gameroom and sniff my NES collection for a treat. Likewise, if I say "Sega", she'll run to the right side of my gameroom and sniff my Sega collection in hopes of a treat.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks? Pfft.
