I was debating how/if to count fighting games in this thread. When did you count SC4 as "beaten"?
Doesn't it have a story mode? I guess I would count playing through the story mode as "beating" it. Completing it may be something else entirely!

Also, nice to see you finished Gunstar Heroes! I was actually thinking of playing through it on XBLA soon, as I just finished Gunstar Super Heroes on the GBA.

1. Phantasy Star (GBA)
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall Of The Foot Clan (GB)
3. Super Mario Bros. 2 (GBA)

still the easiest SMB to beat for me. I know its the black sheep, and technically not even a Mario Bros game at all -- but I still love it. There's a lot of nostalgia there for me.

GHOSTBUSTERS the Video Game 360
Super Mario Bros. NES
Contra Rebirth WiiWare
Tetris Gameboy (*2)
Star Wars Force Unleashed 360
Street Fighter II T.E 360 arcade
Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis
Contra NES
THPS Play Station
Ninja Gaiden NES
Blaster Master Overdrive WiiWare
Batman Returns SNES
Golden Axe GBA
Halo 2 XBOX
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 360
Pit-Fighter Genesis
Act Raiser snes
BATMAN Genesis
TMNT: Fall of the Foot clan Gameboy
TMNT: Back from the Sewers Gameboy
Super Mario Bros. 3 NES
StarFox (Paths 1, 2 & 3) snes
Battle Arena Toshinden Remix new! Saturn

Had this sucker CIB for around a month. Played it today, and ended up beating the game on Normal with every character, in a row. That's not saying much about the difficulty, but it does say a lot about the fun factor. Was this the first game with the now famous Soul Blade format? If not, it's damned near close. So much fun, very intuitive, and it still looks like a video game.

Huzzah!

That's what I mean by beating it. At the start of the year, I ran through story mode with every character in the game. While there's a lot of extra stuff I haven't done, such as purchasing all the equipment, I've unlocked every character and seen all their story endings, so I figured I've at least beaten it(I also bought all the in-game art...).

Now certain fighting games, if I absolutely cannot stand them, I'll sometimes beat it with one character and let that be it. For instance, if I manage to beat Pit-Fighter on the SNES, I really don't want to have to subject myself to that again for a long time.

In the meantime, I've beaten another game, though it's not a major accomplishment. I beat Medal of Honor: Airborne last September, if I remember correctly, but I was irked at the performance issues the game suffered from the entire time. Well, after beating Portal earlier, I decided I'd give it another shot. It's not perfect, and in at least one level I get some nasty lag at times, but the game's considerably more playable than it was when last I tried it.

I'm also interested in completing the game this time, which means I have to go for the skill jumps...not a big fan of getting those, but I'm getting better at them. I managed to grab 7 of 30 on the first go. Maxing out the weapons shouldn't be a problem; after my first run through, I've already attained the max level with around two-thirds of them, and leveled up my grenades a good bit. The Panzerfaust and Colt .45 are sitting close to the max level. I also earned a couple of medals on the first run, so that's not going to be an issue.

So here's my current list:

Soul Calibur IV (Xbox 360)
Super Bomberman 2 (SNES)
Cybernator (SNES)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (PC)
Devil Kings (PS2)
Still Life (PC)
Dead Space (PS3)
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
LEGO Batman (Xbox 360)
Penumbra: Black Plague (PC)
Half-Life 2: Episode One (PC)
Penumbra: Requiem (PC)
Portal (PC)
Medal Of Honor: Airborne (PC)

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia DS *new*
Megaman 10 WiiWare *new*

It's been ages since I've posted on this forum (uni work deadlines everywhere!) but I thought I'd keep this list updated!

Castlevania was a brilliant game, and my first castlevania. Im not sure about trying the rest of the series though, because from what i can make out, the things I like most about it are exclusive to Ecclesia. The dual weapon system was sweet, and i loved the different uses for each weapon. The challenge was reasonable without being frustrating too.

Megaman 10 is a good game, although I much prefer 9. Megaman 10 felt slightly less well designed, but it also recalled the style of the NES megamans better in my eyes, with more of a focus on enemys than tricky spike laden jumps (although there were of course, a fair few of those too!). I still need to fork out for the DLC, although i think its overpriced, I very much want it.

As usual, I can get up to the final boss in Bonk's Adventure (GB), but can never quite beat him. And when you hit continue, you have to beat all the previous bosses in a row before you can try him again!

Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure NGPC
Tatsunoko vs Capcom Wii
Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast GC
Tomena Sanner WiiWare
Sonic Jam Saturn
Dark Void Zero DSiWare
Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ DSiWare
Starship Patrol DSiWare
Pokemon Platinum DS
Pokemon Rumble WiiWare
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia DS
Megaman 10 WiiWare
Pokemon HeartGold DS *new*
Art Style Nemrem DSiWare *new*
Art Style Boxlife DSiWare *new*

So, instead of doing reasearch for my essay like I really should've today, I spent the day playing my DS. I beat Heartgold. Definetely the best pokemon game yet, but frankly, they're starting to feel a bit samey to me, even though I love the series.

I also beat 2 of the Art Style series. I cant recommend these games enough, they're fantastic, with the exception of Nemrem, which i forced myself to beat, just to be done with it. I would rate the 10 Art Style games as follows:

1. Picopict/pictobits (DSiW)
2. Intersect/Digidrive (DSiW)
3. Rotohex (WW)
4. Boxlife (DSiW)
5. Code/Base 10 (DSiW)
6. Cubello (WW)
7. Aquite/Aquia (DSiW)
8. Orbient (WW)
9. KuBos/Precipice (DSiW)
10. NemRem/Zengage (DSiW)

Still got 3 of them left to beat, and theres 2 more on the way to Wii - Light Trax is a version of an olf bit generation racing title, and penta tentacles/rotozoa is brand new. Im more excited about these than a lot of full price titles that are on the way XD
