NFL Quarterback Club (32x) - $1
Mobile Suit Gundam Zeonic Front (PS2) - $7
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (Xbox) - $4!
King of Fighters XI (PS2) - $4
Two Wavebirds and one reciever -$4!!

Those were from pawn shops. I went to my first Play-N-Trade that day too. There I got

Axelay (SNES) - $5!
Impossible Mission II (unlicensed NES) - $6
Galactic Crusader (unlicensed NES) - $3

This was the store in Abilene, TX. While I liked the experience, the store seemed to be lacking. It just felt like there should have been more in there. I really want to go to the one in Round Rock. Has anyone been to that one? How is it?

Abilene TX? Holy shit, I didn't think I'd see anyone mention that town on a forum. Are you from there or were you just visiting?

Well, I was actually up there because a relative was in the hospital, but I have a friend going to college there as well, so I try to swing past all the shops when I do visit. And now it's going to be my outlet for the best drink in existence, Dublin Dr. Pepper. Just had my first one.

My bro the lucky sob snapped up a Mega Drive model 1 plus a mega drive arcade stick for only 8€. No hookups though, that way he was able to haggle the guy all the way down.

When he told me about it today, I was happy to identify it for him as the best model 1 unit avaible. He answered all my question's with a smiling resounding yes. That'll replace his "lesser" model 1 and 2 model 2 unit's.

Though have to admit a bit of jealousy, I am looking for one of these since a while, and whenever I think flea market's around here are dead for anything retro releated he picks something up for amazing cheap prices. I should nag him some more to keep me in mind! :o

rainnyx4, please let us know what you find out. The concave sticks, motor button and longer base grips are of interest on that controller.

Next time you're there (and it's not Monday-Wednesday), check out The Crossing Flea Market. It's a place over on South 14th, near Butternut, might have to ask your friend for directions to get there. They've got a decent selection of gaming stuff, the prices are generally fair-ish, though you occasionally find a nice bargain or a weird overpriced to hell item. There are two booths for games (though I've heard that one might be moving out soon), and you can haggle pretty well assuming the owner of said booth is there.

The place right next door (called Manuel's Nintendo Games or something) has a huge selection and I buy stuff there sometimes, but the pricing is kinda iffy on many things and the guy doesn't seem to know very much for someone who's supposed to be specializing in retro wares. Again though, you can occasionally score decent bargains if you keep your eye open. He's also pretty haggle-able.

Those are probably the best places in town for retro stuff, I'd check them out next time you're there.

Haha thanks! :D. I finally picked up the other box today with the pc-engine and atari 2600 in it. The pc-engine is absolutely mint, still in the box and came with 6 cib games. The 2600 also came with about 15 games.
The other thing I noticed, he's got a crapload of famicom stuff, including the disk system with like 100 games. He also has a Super famicom with about 200 games. This is stuff his brother said he wanted to keep (damn haha), but while looking through those boxes I noticed a japanese mega drive with about 50 cib games. I asked my buddy if his brother wanted those, he said he's sure that he doesn't, but he's going to email him just to make sure. If not, that will be mine too!
I'm still going through all this stuff, it's literally ike 6 boxes worth of free retro games and consoles :D So fun!!
