@ EX: Not letting the kids screw everything up is a part of my plan. I've seen it happen, and have worked for companies with owners who say things like "I'm not fit for this job...I just had it passed down to me". And I'm point blank serious, some people just leave the position of CEO to people with an associates degree in nursing. I've also had CEO's tell me "I don't want this job".

Helps line my wallet, but these people need common sense more than they do a consultant. Family businesses are always either the best or the worst to work with. There is no middle ground. When you're business sucks and you can't accept change...it's a hard sell as people don't like to be told that they're making wrong decisions.

Hell, that it is putting it lightly.

You really need to stop interacting with your dad in any way. Like, I'd go to the point of pretending he's invisible and mute if you can pull it off. He seems like an utter train wreck and he's only going to bring you down with him.

I concur with the fine gentlemen who have posted their feelings here, Fragems. Get out of there and go live your life. Your father is toxic, and continued exposure to him is only going to result in you eventually getting bit in the ass.

Well I have around 2k saved up so hopefully in the next paycheck or two I will have enough cash to seriously look into buying a place.

The good thing is even though my dad is "Working at Home" he is hardly ever here. He basically half assess his job and then immediately leaves for his new lady friends place and doesn't get back till 1-2am. About the only time we interact is when I make dinner, but he hasn't been here to often for that recently. Anyways he is taking off work for a week long motorcycle trip starting tomorrow so I'll have some extra time off from him.

Only thing I worry about once I leave is the poor dog he picked up. Initially he was taking decent care of him and walking him about 3-4 times a day but now he doesn't do anything more then toss a treat out the door every now and then. So I've been feeding and walking it as well as taking it to vet appointments. His plan is eventually to use it as a guard dog at his garage and I guess just leave it there 24/7.

Too strong of advice from an Internet friend. Not that I disagree, but unless you know Fragem's Rock, you still are talking about his Father.

So perhaps the best wording is "create a comfortable distance from your Father".

Sienna D'Enema revealed his true identity on "Hey Qween" with Johnny McGovern

Not spoiling anything about this episode of the YouTube talk show, where comedian Johnny McGovern interviews YouTube sensation Sienna D'Enema, known for such videos as the Golden Shower Girls (the videos are no longer on YouTube but are on Sienna's Funny or Die page) and mostly the Jem parody Jiz.

Found out about this on Jiz's Facebook page (@Jizismyname), and Jiz is also on Twitter @Jizismyname.

It the late 90s I worked for a fairly large family owned business. They hired consultants to come in and access their business operations. The hope was to optimize efficiency, boost profit by eliminating waste, and minimize loss by streamlining operations. So the day finally came where the consultants gathered everyone in the work place for a huge lunch meeting. The head consultant said they knew what the number one problem was. And then they wrote it out on a whiteboard:

NEPOTISM

Of course most of the people had no idea what the word even meant. Long story short, the family who owned the business couldn't handle the cold hard truth and fired the consultancy firm. I guess it's no surprise that I left that company shortly after. Said company is still around but they are a shell of what they once were (multimillion dollar producer of industrial saw mill equipment), and are slowly waning out of existence. It's a shame because the president is a really nice guy, but his family is occupying too many positions they didn't deserve. I mean, when you make your sister's husband the vice president just because he's your sister's husband... for example.

It's because I don't know his father or him that I feel comfortable giving such strong advice. All I know is the miles of shit his dad puts him through, and if you replaced "father" with "roommate" in all of his posts we all would have spoken up long ago to get the fuck out of that situation. Being a relative does not give you license or leeway to be an asshole.

My wife sold her 29 gallon aquarium and kindle tablet and covered a good deal of her desired 90 gallon aquarium, so only $150 out of pocket on that. Even at full price of $300 it was an amazing deal since it is fully loaded with an oak stand and canopy, filters, heaters, fish, everything. The empty tank would be worth $200+ with none of the included stuff. Add it all up, purchased new, upwards of $800-900.

Also, I'll be moving a 90 gallon aquarium from teardown to set up tonight after work. I already took the 29 down and set it up for the person who purchased it. I am going to be a zombie tomorrow for sure.
Congrats! I have a huge acrylic aquarium myself, prefer over glass for no leak worries decades later. I went with twice the height custom built as to what was available at the specialty pet store. If I remember right, mine also is around 90 gallons. Filled with Silver Dollar Fish that look like Piranha. A few Gouramis, Bala shark a a couple of Plecostomus to keep the algae under control.

i got a 125 gal with a 30 gal sump. a 10in jaguar cichlid, 5 in firemouth, 6 in jack dempsey, and 8in blood parrot. had a pleco but more trouble than they are worth. they shit more than they clean up, never had an algae problem. i was looking at silver dollars before adding the last 2 fish but since they are schooling fish and grow to about 10in a piece i thought it might be overstocking a bit. mine is acrylic also, since it's drilled of course. kind of wish i would have went went african cichlids instead of south american. alot smaller and more colorful fish to choose from.
