Wow, games sure are expensive in Turkey. I went to the mall and Bioshock Infinite was the equivalent of $100. Also, you can still buy PS2 stuff brand new over here.

Thought 1: I'd really like it if I could get the game installs working on my 360. It seems the culprit is likely the hard drive. Will I get banned from Xbox Live if I just go over to Microcenter, buy a 120gb hard drive, and swap it into the HDD case? (I have already taken apart to try reseating the current one, fyi).

Thought 2: I would have thought, even with fat 360s, they would have quieted them down by 2009. This unit is a Jasper from April of 09. Has the loud Beta fans. I heard there are fans in some that are a bit quieter?

I think the only time you get banned is for DVD Drive Firmware spoofing.

I recently got a Jasper unit ... it's actually pretty quiet ... the beast noise is the DVD drive. If the fans themselves are really loud then you might just want to take em out clean and re-lubricate them. But, when I was fixing the one I got, I had it on plenty without the DVD drive functioning and it was pretty quiet. Then again, it seems the fans don't change speed ... so it may not be that great of a deal.

One of the reasons I paid more for a HDD on the thing was just so I wouldn't have to hear the DVD drive.

So... there's no standalone version of Phantasy Star Online Episode II, correct?

It's only bundled with Episode I on NGC/Xbox, right?

That's how I see it, but I could be wrong.
