Well, let's put it this way. The crowd was doing a lot of booing, the Rumble match itself was terrible and there was negative press in mainstream publications throughout the day after.

Fans even started a Twitter campaign to cancel the WWE Network.

It was a pay per view that the entire company should be ashamed of. Something made more apparent by how impressive Lucha Underground's Aztec Warfare was, which conveniently occurred in the same month as the Royal Rumble

For anyone paying attention, other companies are trying-in their limited capacity, to compete with WWE. It's no coincidence that WWE announced a free trial period throughout February for their network, and New Japan promptly does the same for their own network

I'm also noticing more and more as I watch other promotions like Ring of Honor, TNA and Lucha Underground a lot of digs by commentators and even fans in the crowds that are clearly aimed at WWE despite never mentioning the company by name. You often hear comments along the lines of, "we don't do that sort of thing here, unlike certain other companies." And I'm frequently hearing, "better than divas" chants in TNA during their women's matches.

WWE is kind of the joke of the wrestling industry right now, despite being the biggest company in it. Even TNA is looking better by comparison, as bad as their product is. That's really saying something.

well I guess I won't be wasting my time watching it then...

not sure why people are hating on the WWE network. its like $120 per year, there was a time when this was like the price of 3 PPVs (IIRC). Also TNA is doing super bad last I heard, they went to a new obscure network and have bad arena lighting to hide the low turnout for their events.

There was a time when they had the biggest icons in wrestling history, Bischoff, Hogan, and Sting!

Did anyone see Triple H on the Stone Cold podcast? I found that fascinating, seeing Triple H talk about kayfabe being dead and how it still all goes through Vince.

I got the impression HHH didn't want the writers to take the full blame for the Rumble booking. Let's be honest, should a product that is aimed at children and young adults, have all creative decisions being given the go ahead by a 70 year old?

I think wrestling sucks today because they killed keyfabe, they actually tell you its fake.

As for Vince, he was successful over 4 decades of wrestling, 40 years of his life, so why can't he do it now that he is 70. I know the gap is huge between him and his target audience but then again, it was also huge in 2000 when he had at least 24 years over his oldest target audience.

If I was Triple H I wouldn't talk about Vince in any negative way, Vince made him from nothing and the only reason he is still around with huge power in the WWE is because of Vince.

Because WWE's product is awful and massive network cancellations are the only thing that will force them to change.

And to its credit, TNA's women's division is light years ahead of WWE's and the tag series a few months ago between The Hardies, Team 3-D and the Wolves blows away anything WWE's tag division has done for a VERY long time.

So anyone who actually watched Lucha Underground (since all every website is talking about is that NXT special because WWE always has to be the center of attention  ) got to hear Alberto Del Rio tear WWE a new one, though he never mentioned them by name.

Let's just say backstabbing and racism all found a way into his promo. Del Rio dropped a "Pipe Bomb"

This is one of the new problems with WWE, they bring someone from no where, make him win The Royal Rumble and turn him into the WWE champion then throw him away. A good example of "Throw it against the wall and see what sticks" . As a casual pro-wrestling viewer, I could have easily tell that guy had no future in wrestling, at least not in that gimmick.

Where can i see what he had to say on the WWE?

Also, as an outsider to the US, I can't believe there is practiced racism in business over there

Wow! That six man tag main event for Ring of Honor's Valentine's Day episode was one of the best six man tags I've ever seen.

The Young Bucks I sense are pricks in real life, especially after the way they publicly insulted Lucha Underground not too long ago over something really petty and childish (on their part, not LU's):

http://411mania.com/wrestling/the-young ... derground/

^Arrogant pricks. It's their loss as Lucha Underground's the most exciting thing in wrestling right now.

That said, they are pretty fucking amazing in the ring and fun to watch. So I get why they're popular. And AJ Styles is, well, AJ Styles.

The other team really brought it too with some amazing spots. This is not the Evan Bourne we saw in WWE. He's so much more awesome in ROH.

This is my type of wrestling match. I love spot fests. I love chaos. I love things moving at a fast pace and I love seeing bodies flying around and occasionally crashing and burning. And that Philly crowd was hot as shit, as they often are. Compare the energy during this show to the way they were at WWE's Royal Rumble and it's telling of how shitty WWE is compared to their competition.

Star ratings are entirely subjective, but for me personally that was 5 stars. At least a 4 and a half at the very least.

That match was awesome and all six guys showed up. Heck, the whole one hour show was better then any three hour WWE shows I can remember. Just great stuff.
