Plus Lesner was a heavyweight, one of, if not the, weakest class. I thought he looked good out of the gate. Mir II was impressive. Sucks how sick he got. He may not be long for the WWE either. Could see him back in UFC again for a sweet deal.

weak then, yes. now, top 5 is pretty dam good. he might still be competitive against the bottom top ten guys. his problem was always his striking sucked and no striking defense. didn't take a punch real well and didn't react good. he got you on the ground though you had problems. and yeah cm punk is in a lot better weight class, 170 or 185, it's loaded.

Man, everyone thinks he's gonna get crushed.

It's kinda funny that he held the heavyweight title in WWE, given that he's tiny. He will try to fight at 185 or even 170 lbs.

he's gonna get his head caved in. already in an interview he's stated, not sure what weight he'll fight at, not sure where he'll train, never sparred with anybody remotely experienced in striking, and the one thing people keep bringing up for a plus for him (his brazilian jiu-jitsu) he admits his training has been off and on and he's a white belt. good luck bro lol.

Yeah, well. Boxing survived Mickey Rourke fighting a guy who was literally a bum (he was homeless), MMA will survive this.

Even if he gets destroyed like everyone expects him to, we will have entertaining post-fight interviews.

Somehow though I would think that Punk would fit better at Bellator, with all the pageantry and pro wrestling shit they've been pulling.

I'm somehow OK with this because I've watched my fair share of freak show PRIDE FC fights.

Someone suggested they put him to compete with Minowaman in his first fight and I was like "Yes!".

Probably not a good idea, though. Minowa would take CM Punk's leg home worse than Mir did Lesnar's leg in.

You probably meant elite fc about the freak shows? Like the kimbo slice experiment. He actually wasn't that bad going through the ultimate fighter, he put in work. Just started his training to late in his life. I thought cm punk might have to go through the ultimate fighter, that needs the ratings, ppv's numbers are good.

No, I meant PRIDE.

Stuff like Fedor x Hong Man Choi or Nogueira x Bob Sapp.

Other great ones inckude Fedor x Zuluzinho, Minowaman x Butterbean, Jose Canseco x Hong Man Choi, etc.

And this is considering PRIDE was legit.
