Yeah I've played and beaten the first one.
Don't really get the Pouch thing.
What stuff should or should I not sell?
Will they explain topple/break stuff again eventually?
Just hit chapter 2.
PS, I'm loving my Switch.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
The pouch will make more sense later when you have more blades and party members. Each blade and character has specific items they love. Putting them in there acts like a buff and raises affinity with them which is one of the ways to unlock more abilities for a blade. Toppe is easy. When it says break above the enemy in battle just shoot that anchor shot with Rex. They topple over and take more damage. You will get so many gems in this game. Just choose what you want. Keep a few extra for new blades and such.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Topple doesn't start working until an event in chapter 3.
Sell accessories if you get more than 3 of something. Money is really easy to come by. Especially when you start doing merc missions. Maybe sell extra gems if you have an obscene amount of one gem in particular. Keep everything else for quests.
Pay attention when you do the quest that explains how to buy shop deeds. Purchasing the deed to a shop has a lot of benefits. Run speed, item drop rate, etc.

Got a Switch for Christmas. Unfortunately, the eShop is down and I have no physical games. Oof! Seems like a cool system though.

Yeah, boy oh boy were there some pissed off parents on Facebook. I'm kinda surprised by the number of parents that bought their kids the console but with no games... I guess a lot of people just go the digital only route these days.
Own: Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii U, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, Xbox 360
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Well then maybe having them upset and their kids crying, at least a few of them will have learned a valuable lesson that a digital game is only as good as the internet and as long as the server is available. Had they done the right thing and wrapped up the game, there would have been no hurt feelings or loss.
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
I sometimes pine for being able to just boot a game without swapping carts, but then I realize I'd need a big memory card, and have no value in the games unless I sold the whole system along with my account, which ain't happening.
PSP days were the best, though. Physical ownership and running from memory card.
Switch is still awesome, although man does Xenoblade 2 have some tech issues. You can tell that adaptive resolution kicks in, and it goes low, low, low at times in handheld mode. There's a sharpening filter or something on top of all of it, which sometimes makes it look like I'm playing a PS2 through a composite connection.
Still a great game, though.

What's funny is the framerate is better now. Gormontt is where it was the worst.Sarge wrote:I sometimes pine for being able to just boot a game without swapping carts, but then I realize I'd need a big memory card, and have no value in the games unless I sold the whole system along with my account, which ain't happening.

Having to manually adjust the screen position in the Switch settings for Xenoblade 2's UI was pretty odd. Makes me wonder if I just played 600 moons worth of Odyssey with the screen a bit more zoomed in than it should have been.
