Transferring them also is a pain. Have to use Sony's own app for it, as far as I know... presumably to protect from piracy.

I will say it's slightly easier - not that much - taking screenshots on Vita 2000 or whatever the new model is called. The downside (for either model) is that it only works on native Vita games... no PS1, no PSP.

One cool feature is that you CAN take screenshots when you're doing remote play, though.

Press the PS button in slightly before you also press start. It takes a second to cancel out to the home menu when it does this, making it the easiest way by far.

I've been wondering why I've been barely able to access the PS Store on my Vita recently. Didn't even think about the fact it only started after installing the new firmware. Anyone else had any issues?

Yeah, that's why I think it's easier to do on the newer model... much better home button.

Got lucky and saw that article before I updated. Well, unless it updated automatically... guess I better go take a look at that.

The Vita has a ton of RPGs although I must say a lot of them are a little too Japanese for me, but there are some great ones:

Tales of Hearts R (can be fairly tough to find a physical copy but it's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously and is a good RPG)
Final Fantasy X HD Remaster
Disgaea 3 or 4 (can't go wrong with either)
Persona 4 (played about 10 hours and didn't like it too much so I stopped but I can see why people think it is awesome)
Child of Light

On a similar note..I cannot wait for Wold of Final Fantasy!

Speaking of RPGs, anyone playing Trail of Cold Steel? It's been out in America since December, but it only just came out here in Europe.

I don't know anything about the Legend of Heroes series, but I'm enjoying this game so far. It's like Persona.

I've only just started the game, but it seems cool. The battle system is typical turn-based JRPG stuff. The game has a military setting, which is pretty cool. You attend military school and are part of 'Class VII', a new class that mixes "nobles" and "commoners" (the different classes don't usually mix).

I got through all the preliminary introductory stuff and now the game is really beginning and it begins with you in class... With the teacher asking you a question, just like in Persona. And giving the correct answer raises your stat, just like in Persona... You get free time in which you can spend time with other class members, just like in Persona and you can join extracurricular activities and clubs, just like Persona...

So basically, first impressions are that it's Persona with a military setting. I can't say I'm complaining.
