Do you like many games? You tend to post more about ones you dislike, which means I'm struggling to get an idea of what you're into other than Assault Suit Leynos.
I'm away this weekend, but next week will be my official start of this challenge. Seen a lot of footage of the new Crash Remaster lately, so I'll probably start with Crash Bandicoot 3 as a point of comparison.

Infinite is almost on par with the original Bioshock and exceeds it in many ways. Both are much better than either System Shock.

Well I own 563 physical games. Wear gaming T shirts ever day. SEGA lanyard with my keys and Mega Man. VG fridge magnets. NES wallet. Earthbound hat,Dreamcast Watch I wear daily. Walls are covered in VG posters and pics. Have a bunch of OST's on CD. My PC wallpaper is always a game. 90% of what I watch is gaming stuff on YT. My shower curtain is from Portal. My doorbell sound is the theme from Frogger. A bunch of artbooks & strat guides. Gaming magazines from all the way back to 1992. My Amazon wishlist is only games and about 11 pages. I have a ebay folder for games that is 15GB. I add them faster than I can buy them. Largest folder on my PC is just gaming stuff. I did do a Gaming YT channel for a few years but felt it was too much work for little return.alienjesus wrote:Do you like many games? It will never happen but my only dream is to shop for retro games in Japan. Yeah sad but will never happen.

Let us not get into the habit of questioning each other's gaming street cred. That path leads only to hubris.
As for Bioshock vs System Shock... of course Bioshock holds up better so far. It is a much more recent game made in the Unreal Engine. But I think once Bioshock reaches the age System Shock is now, it will not be as well regarded as System Shock. They all fall apart in the end game, but System Shock and SS2 at least have extremely unique mechanics that have proven highly influential.

I mean, I phrased it badly, but I was just trying to find out what games Segata enjoys. There's nothing 'street cred' about it - he could own about a dozen games he enjoys dearly and nothing else and that's totally fine with me. I still don't have my answer.
Segata dude, I can tell you're into games, you've made that clear a number of times. I'm just trying to work out which games

Yeah, I didn't take it as you acting like you enjoy games more than him, but man... Some folks and how they treat their hobbies... like an abusive relationshipalienjesus wrote:I mean, I phrased it badly, but I was just trying to find out what games Segata enjoys. RPGs are my favorite genre. I do have a list of top fave games. I like multiple genres alot. RPGs I typically play the most,. I also really love side scrolling beat em up RPGs like Dragon's Crown or Guardian Heroes. Hack N slash is great fun. I have played and enjoyed games from every traditional genre tho.alienjesus wrote:I mean, I phrased it badly, but I was just trying to find out what games Segata enjoys. Re: Summer Games Challenge 2017 - Begin when ready!
We're close enough to June for me, so I started my admittedly disingenuous "Summer-Themed Summer Games Challenge". I decided to begin with this last night:

The back of the box says what it's about fairly well:

"Role playing adventure" is fairly accurate, although I'd add "diving simulator" to that description. I put an hour and a half into it last night and had a great time. So far it's very similar to Everblue 1*, but a bit more polished and intuitive. I'm looking forward to exploring Everblue 2's submerged world over my next gaming sessions.
*Yes I've already beaten Everblue 1.
