I played quite a lot over the weekend. Just under 40 hours of progress and I'm level 54 I think. I've got a great party of demons that are just tearing through everybody. Bosses are rarely a challenge to me now. Definitely a satisfying feeling to see the hard work pay off. I've also got quite a few high level special fusions ready to go, just waiting to reach the appropriate level.

I think I might be further than you, but I'm definitely lower level than you. I'm level 85, with the +6 fusion app, and 297 magic with equipment. Doing Concentrate plus a magic spell does between 1200 and 2500 damage depending on if I can hit a weakness or not, and that's before Debilitate/Luster Candy.
I just finished off Merkabah, but I'm going to hold off on doing Lucifer's dungeon until I've finished the Smartphone quest (damn random chance off a single relic spot) and finished getting the original Demonica suit from the Ginza Black Market.

Yep. You must be. I didn't really play all weekend. Usually hanging out with friends Friday through Sunday.
How was that boss compared to Beelzebub?

Stuck on this dude in Shinjuku-
Quest is to kill the Insane Horde x 4, which is no problem as they're weak to fire, but the supporting demon is called Chernobog or something and just wrecks me with Poison/Sick and Mamudo. Ugh.
Might have to do him later, I'm level 29 and focused mostly on magic right now.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Just come back later. My biggest problem with the game was always trying to tackle every side quest right away. Sometimes you just gotta let a sidequedt wait for a while before you're ready.

I've done 140+ challenge quests so far. As much fun as its been, I probably won't do them again when I replay the game. Besides the necessary ones. :P

I've got to say, a lot of challenge quests so far don't really even offer up much of a reward anyway. I guess the biggest rewards they offer are the demons that become available to you after doing some. The money and EXP they hand out aren't all that much really.

How was that boss compared to Beelzebub?
When I started the latest dungeon I think I was level 79; I've gained 6 levels since then. It's nice to be hitting regular levels again. It'll be interesting to see how my leveling is in the next dungeon, as I plan to fill up my entire compendium before I finish the game. Which is going to be painful when I try to go for the Fiends and the Famed.
Beelzebub was incredibly painful until I got a demon with Salvation and the mana to use it; at that point I was able to heal through the sickness and I spammed Concentrated spells at him from my MC. Merkabah I was able to down in a single attempt, though near the end I was down to only a single demon with no MP (fortunately, the boss only had 50 health, so one attack finished him off). It might just have been that my many attempts at Beelzebub also included demons with weaknesses he liked to exploit, so I'd had several attempts where I'd have a full party wipe in one turn. Merkabah focuses more on almighty attacks, so as long as you have enough base health you're good.
Bonus spoiler about the dungeon I just finished:
There's a Terminal in there and the terminal guardian summons Mara. The dialog is priceless.

No, sucked in by Skyrim at present

Let me know when you catch up, though. iirc I am at about 8 hours in and maybe low to mid teens for my level...at the fight against the
minotaur boss.
