Worst case scenario you have to spend an extra $20 to get a 2-slot instead, but i've seen plenty of damaged 1 and 2 slots rejuvenated from leaky batteries on the neo boards. Keep us posted.
Some 2 slots are JAMMA, but most are MVS. Because your board has controller hookups, Id wager that it is MVS. If you go with a 1 slot board I highly recommend getting one of these bad boys:
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/jamma- ... a2mvs.html

Then you can plug in whatever JAMMA boards support your control scheme, like a Sega Titan Video or a JAMMA Dreamcast. I thought about a Dreamcast for a long time, so I could play Soul Calibur in my 4 Slot
So I ordered this adapter along with a 1 slot board (as this was cheaper than finding any multi slot board) and the board should get here tomorrow. The adapter still has not shipped it seems, so my question is, would it be ok to use the MVS harness straight to the 1 slot board if I were to unplug all autio related items IE: amp, and speakers? From what I undertand the difference between MVS and JAMMA is the audio hookup.

I just want to check out the monitor and make sure it looks good, and hate waiting.

I'm not positive, but I wouldn't - do you want to test the 1-slot or the monitor? If you just want to test the 1-slot, maybe test on a supergun or other JAMMA rig.

If you want to test the monitor - i'd wait til' you have the converter. The stereo pinout is going to be different on the (2-slot) harness in your cab than the JAMMA connector on the 1-slot and you might fry the 1-slot stereo function.

This assumes you got the converters i'm familiar with and it will eventually be bridging the 1-slot to your harness.

@ the neo cab in boston - yeah, it looks like a conversion, but for $200 - I would absolutely check it out.

If it works, you have a working slot (no idea which size, but a working 1-slot is min $60 and they only go up in value from there). Then one of the MVS baseball games (there are 3 of them iirc) so that's another $20-45, depending on which one.

If it doesn't work - then a good reason to offer him less, maybe something like, "I'll give you $75 to haul away your cab - it needs some major work to restore." you'd still have a lot of good parts. Looks like it could be a fun project if you have the space. I'd sorta like a blank canvas like that at a bargain price.

Did you order from JammaBoards.com?
Because he is known for slow shipping.

I got one of those adapters to play Jamma PCBs in my MVS, it took a while to get here. Finally I sent him a message asking when it would ship, and he had it out hours after the reply.

So my advice is to light a fire under his ass, shoot him a message and hopefully you'll get your adapter sooner.

Definitely remove the audio connections if you have to test it. The only other real difference is that you'll be missing a test switch.

Thanks for the advice, I sent a message. I had hoped that by ordering it so early in the week it would go out quickly, and I could have it before the week was over but oh well.

Alrighty - all of my pending NGPC games have arrived, so here is the full haul (16 games from 5 purchases):

Things to note:
Puzzle Link (Tsunagate Pon) is a tough one for me. The JP version is in the snap case, however it is Black and White.

The US version is in color, but it is in a cardboard box.

I'm not sure if there is a UK CIB snapcase release - I assume so, but haven't seen one.

Puzzle Link 2 is color in all regions, but the JP release which I have is cardboard box only. The UK snapcase version does $65-80, so i'm not sure I can justify an extra $40 for a snapcase. For now the JP version will suffice.

Neo Geo Cup Plus 98 was a mistake - got the JP version since it was snapcase and figured it was soccer, but there is some text after all, so got the UK snapcase version instead and will eventually move the JP copy.

Cool. I'll take the US copy when you replace it then. :)

You mean the one I wouldn't have known to look for in the box if you hadn't said anything? YES! Thanks for the heads up man. Actually there's three of them. I'm glad I got this title brand new!

I've been going crazy with that MVS multi-cart I got. Been going through and beating random games.

Fighters:

Breakers, Breakers Revenge, Double Dragon, Matrimelee, KOF '95, '96, '97, '98, 2002, 2003, SVC Chaos+, World Heroes, WH2, MotW, Kizuna Encounter, Rage of Dragons.

Others:

Metal Slug, X,2,3,4, Sengoku, Sengoku 3, Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad, EightMan, Robo Army, Mutation Nation, I've got 1st place w/ 4 different cars on Over Top, plus have played a bunch of other stuff. Gonna try Ganryu tomorrow, probably.
