Everybody seems to have a much better game plan this year. I am not seeing any lists that are so RPG over-loaded that there is no chance of them finishing.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Its kinda obnoxious isn't it?

His power is great with the level 3 spells, but I spent an awful lot of time just trying to keep the bastard alive. He takes damage like a punk.

I did enjoy how he kept calling the twins brats and runts and the like. It was appropriate.

So I just beat got the Earth Crystal in FFIV, and I'm now in the Tower of Zot. The difficulty sure took a spike after Baron, so I think I might need to grind a little. I think I'm getting close to approaching the furthest point I've reached previously in this game.

So I'm planning to start my challenge on June 1st, my list so far:

Contra
Metroid
The Legend of Zelda
Rocket Knight Adventures
Illusion of Gaia (I have owned this for like, 3 years. Have yet to actually play it)
Donkey Kong Country 2 (played this one a bunch before, but never have gotten far past Krazy Kremland)
NiGHTs into Dreams
Guardian Heroes (don't actually own this one yet, probably gonna splurge on a US copy in a few weeks though...)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (probably the All-Stars version. I've gotten very close to beating it before on the NES, but man does that game need a save system)
Final Fantasy Tactics

Still gotta shuffle this list around and maybe change some games out, but there are a few that are sure to stay I think.

Oh really? It's in July though, right? I mean I could keep it on the list and just wait to play it until July... could do both TR and Summer Challenge at the same time that way!

Unless there's like, some unofficial rule against doing that or something...

What do you think? Should I remove it?

no official rule but to me... well everyone could just put the June, July and August TR games on their Summer Gaming list, thus making the load a bit lighter. So I kinda think it's meh.

Pick something on my list to play along with me! :P

Alright, alright. I suppose I'll replace Guardian Heroes with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. I'll need to get a new copy of that game but that shouldn't be hard at all.

changing my list a bit was a bit too RPG heavy

1: finish earthbound, last summer i got half way through and then went on a two week vacation and never got back into it. i might have to watch nintendocaprisuns lets play of it to get me back up to speed.

2: mother 3 translation perfect game to followup earthbound

3: magic knight rayearth paid good money for this on the saturn looks amazing i shall finish it this summer

4: albert odyssey another game i bought on the saturn that looks like fun.

5: the original super mario bros, i grew up with this game yet i never beat it. probably play the snes version (FINISHED)

6: gigawing 1 and 2 im really going to try hard to get my first 1cc clear on 1 but i doubt i can 1cc 2 it gets too crazy

7: tryrush deppy on the saturn its a fun platformer and i paid $120 for it so i better finish it

8: gunstar heroes and guardian heroes i own both and love them to death- together retro :)

9: snatcher i just recently finished policenauts and loved it so its logical i should play snatcher this summer

10 klonoa 2 i played the ps1 game now to try the ps2 one
