Not sure if DS3 has been making everything FromSoft-related bump up in price, but DS1 and Bloodborne hardback guides have been fetching north of $60 lately, too.

Good ol' supply and demand in full force...

RE: Dark Souls, I'm mostly done with Anor Londo I believe. I took care of Lautrec and returned the firekeeper soul; just have to fight Oreo and Smores.

Summoned Solaire and got 'em. Oreo went down first and Smores got the lightning hammer. Solaire died with him at about half health. So I was just dodging a ton and mashing that RB baby. Got er' done with no Estus and half my health. Phew!

Grats, those boys are tough. Smough's Hammer is pretty stout if you ever decide to build it.

They gave me a giant headache my first run through. I didn't quite understand the mechanic behind hollows being unable to see soapstone signs and missed nearly all of the NPC invasions and helpers, including that fight. Ended up focusing on fatboy first followed by an overly-elongated buffed Ornstein battle that took more tries than I'm willing to admit.

Thanks. Yeah, for obvious reasons, this fight is a lot easier if you have a helper occupying one boss' attention. Solaire decided he wanted to get smashed by a hammer over and over so I took the lightning dude out first. When you do it that way, Smough gets a lightning hammer which isn't as bad as it sounds, although he does seem to have an attack that I couldn't figure out how to avoid. I'm sure there's some way, but I ended up just having to get in close to avoid that attack pattern. ;)

I then attacked Gwynevere which had a very interesting outcome.

Went to the Painted World, which for a completely optional area is really, really cool. Lots of fun lore tidbits to find here and this is an easy place to farm for souls. Interesting to me that the boss doesn't attack you outright and you can just leave if you don't want to fight her. On to Darkroot Basin next, wish me luck.

Killing her is even counted as a sin.

I didn't attack her yet, moving on for now. Her dialog is hilarious though something like: "Please just leave, we're peaceful and kind people." LOLOLOLOL, then why did everything in here try to murder me?!? Huh? HUH?

I'm a bit stuck on DSA boss in DS3. Will post a vid if I ever beat that one.

I assume you mean Dragonslayer Armor? There are two possible NPCs you can summon here if you have moved their questlines along at all. One is on the steps, the lady knight can't remember her name, and the protector of the wannabe firekeeper, his name is also escaping me, starts with an E? Eamon? He is off to the right in the little church area.

The idea with this boss is to avoid the long sweeping frontal attack and avoid falling off the stage. If you see anything on the ground or any red stuff falling from the sky, break your focus and get the hell out of there as the angel thing is trying to wreck you. G'luck!
