Sure there were, but because programmers couldn't put in the extra work to get good 3D performance out of the Saturn, not because the console ran out of memory or couldn't handle the damn sprites.

And what proof do you have? There were bad ports of all types of games, not just 3D..

It's not 100% perfect on console A, so it's no different if it's far worse on console B? Come on, that's really poor reasoning.

How is it poor reasoning? I've played many fighting games on PS and they were almost as good as the arcade, same with the saturn.. Neither are arcade perfect, yet you want to make the point that games were slightly better on the saturn.. I find your reasoning to be just poor.. Just like arguing which is a more powerful console between the Saturn and PS when they are so close in performance, while the N64 was clearly more powerful than both..

If the saturn ports were slightly better that still makes them better. It had better 2D capabilities, shit even you just acknowledged this, I don't know why this is even an argument.

He's saying because of this fact, that the Saturn was a better console overall.. He doesn't really take into account that the PS had 3 times the library of games, with better 3D games..

And I'm going to add that I actually like the Saturn more than the PS... But he dismissed the PS as an overrated console for the generation which I think is hardly true..

Looking back, I don't think he said that it was necessarily overrated at all. He seems a bit bitter at how it dominated that generation though despite being the technically weaker console.

I could understand that, but the Saturn for the most part dug their own grave... I'm not necessary sure if it was definitively the stronger console, but the Saturn had more memory.. Most of the 3D games were better on the PS as far as I saw... I myself am bitter over the PS2 for singlehandedly killing the Dreamcast.. The Dreamcast was actually a successful launch with an amazing ratio of great games to full library, and yet the PS2 couldn't lose by default.. People were going to buy that thing regardless if it was total shiite...
