I can't fathom the sentiments here sometimes. I say let the better team win. Too bad soccer with its lengthy track record still doesn't have a fair refereeing system.
This match could go either way. If Spain wins this octopus is going to be even more famous
2 clear offsides not given and a clear penalty in the last minute not given. So far so bad for the refs once more. FFS I can ref the game better from my TV.

Good match. A few ref errors but Spain won fair and square. I know this will piss off some participants here. Hard luck Germany (deja vu here, texted a german friend of mine with the exact same phrase four years ago).

DAN DAN DAN.
Yeah the ref made some big mistakes during the first half (didn't watch the entire second half), but nothing game changing like in the Slovenia-USA Argentina-Mexico and England-Germany games.
If the Netherlands manage to score first we could see a good game. If the Spaniards manage to score first, even if it's in the second minute of the match, be prepared for a boring match with an overly defensive team, with annoying players who will do anything to grind time.

I gave up on the tourney shortly after the U.S. exit as the poor refereeing really turned me off to the cup as a whole this year. It is disappointing to hear that it persists even in these late rounds. Hopefully FIFA can do something about it in the future, but otherwise the World Cup deserves the crap it gets from detractors. I don't care who wins this year, as blind luck seems to have more to do with winning than determination or ability.
