The later stuff is a lot tamer than the old albums. Psychic, Rembrandt, Hairway, and presumably Locust (that I do not have yet, but is well loved) are all pretty insane albums. Piouhgd has a pretty cool cover of Hurdy Gurdy Man, but is otherwise disappointing. Independant is more rocking but is awesome in a slightly different way than the old stuff. Electric and Weird are ok, but are more mellow overall.

I started listening to some albums by the Walkmen....how did I miss this band for the past decade?! Some good stuff.

I'm also digging the new Drive By Truckers album.

Also...does the grammatical incorrectness of this thread title annoy anyone else every time it gets bumped?
