Re: What are you playing?
You'd be surprised, the 360 has a decent number of hidden gems and exclusives. After all, it has been on the market for 9+ years, so it has A LOT of games.
360 received a lot of physical releases in the US that the PS3 did not. In addition, the 360 had a year head start on the PS3 so it has quite a lot that the PS3 never received.
Don't forget about the region free stuff as well like the awesome shmups!

Well you're under no obligation to "collect" anything.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I am thinking about this too. Model E 360s are currently $70 - $90 at several of my local pawn shops, and I am thinking about picking one up just for a few exclusives. I can't really stomach the thought of collecting for another system, however, and there are not many 360 exclusives I am dying to play. Accordingly, I may just skip the system entirely. (If the consoles hit $50, however...)Exhuminator wrote:The funny thing is this month I plan to buy my very first 360. (I only just recently bought a PS3.) Trying to decide if I want to get the Model S or the Model E. Probably going with the Model E as it has the final hardware revisions which I guess are the best for longevity purposes.
The 360 is a great system. I really love the controller.
Tons of great exclusives too. I especially enjoy the region-free shmups like Mushihimesama Futari and Dodonpachi Resurrection, WRPGs like Fable II and The Witcher 2 (on PC as well, but you don't play many PC games as far as I know), and the small sampling of exclusive JRPGs like Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia.
And since I know you love compilations you should know there are some Capcom, Konami, Namco, and Sega ones exclusive to the 360.
If you manage to make it to Maine anytime soon you can play my 360 for awhile... And the Vectrex.

Keep in mind that there are 2 model S' and the later of the two has the innards of the model E.
The later Model S that shares the Model E innards has a lower power draw than the first sets of Model S. Both Model S consoles have the most flexibility for AV output: Component out, VGA out, HDMI out, and Composite out. The Model E has just a latter two.

I'll probably be starting up the new Dragon Age tonight, crossing my fingers I like it (not a fan really, but been craving the idea of hitting up a new RPG).
Juggling this with Far Cry 4 and GTA5 is gonna be nuts though. Hopefully I can finish off FC4 soon and lay off on the open world/sandbox games haha. A short game sounds good right about now...

Re: What are you playing?
Started up Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch the other day while the animations are charming it's a snooze fest in terms of gameplay. Hoping things really pick up once the party members start rolling in and the tutorial finally ends.
