The $250 bundle includes the 8GB model, so seeing a price drop like that would make some sense either way. The bundles including the 32GB model are still the same $300 they have been.
The Skylanders white bundle was, and I believe still is, $200 here.

My point with the deluxe pricing is that the deluxe bundles were on sale for anywhere down to $240 for two months, and in stock everywhere. If you didn't pick one up then, you can't point to the current higher prices as an excuse to not buy one.

This is my last post regarding price. Just yesterday, it was on sale for $260 shipped. All 400 sold in half an hour. This isn't the first time. This company sold 1500 in 50 minutes in November. Hopefully, someone with pricing power at Nintendo is watching.

I have a leftover 100 dollar gift card from the holidays, so I hope to get a Wii U this week. With that and my PS 4, I'm pretty set for this gen. I'm not in a huge rush to get an Xbox One, given how much I hate Microsoft

Underpowered means in comparison to its competitors , it will probably not be able to run cutting-edge games that are going to be popular on the ps4/XOne 2 years in the future. Just like how Wii didn't get GTA 5, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Diablo 3 .. etc . If we are speaking of fun games, then you can have a fun game even on an NES .

Then we have stuff like storage where you would download media because many people use their console as their media player. Also the capability to install games on your machine , Wii U top model has 32GB storage . Killzone on PS4 is like 37 GB .

All in all, I think in the end its all about the software and videogame history shows that consoles that ended up selling the most was the weakest spec. wise in its generation (PS2, gameboy, Wii)

Probably irrelevant but still news worthy.

Hm..video game history doesn't really show that at all.

Last gen - Wii sold the most, but PS3 is still going, so really TBA. The Wii has has very weak longevity, so it's quite possible that the PS3 can outsell it.

6th Gen - PS2, Dreamcast was the weakest and didn't even last till the end of the generation. So really the 3rd weakest console sold the most.

5th Gen - PSX, second strongest of its gen. Considered to be superior to the Saturn. Jaguar and 3DO didn't even make much of an impact, and were much weaker than everyone else.

4th Gen - Super Nintendo, second strongest of its gen. Only Neo Geo was stronger, but obviously no where near as impactful. Super Nintendo outsold the Genesis and was stronger than it, and dominated the TG-16.

3rd Gen - NES, second strongest. Knocked Atari out of the business. Master System was considered stronger, but obviously didn't have third party support or brand rec.

2nd Gen - Atari 2600, second weakest. I'm pretty sure Odyssey 2 was weaker, but I could be off.

There's no real correlation between being the weakest or strongest leading to good sales, and certainly no causation. Also, in most of these examples, the console that sold the most was the one that secured the third parties, with Wii being the exception. Wii-U is not going to take third parties away from Sony or Microsoft.
