What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Oh yeah, the drug is called Krokodil. Because when you start using it you start looking like someone that's been attacked by a crocodile. Again, you can take that literally...

Smile: Got a new Sony Trinitron for retro-gaming needs (and entertaining whoever comes for the NYC meetup).

Ticked: The crappy little Ikea TV stand is too pathetic to withstand its weight.

That's a bummer about your situation. Hope it turns out well.

What kind of position are you in? Are you inside sales? Sales support? What kind of industry are you in?

It sounds like a company directory so it does surprise me that someone would be up in arms about it.

:x I'm really stressed out right now. I have three different papers to write almost simultaneously (they have different enough due dates thankfully) and I can't really relax for too long after that because then I still have final papers to do after that. This is all part of my brilliant plan to overload my schedule with LIt. classes this semester (while studying Japanese). I should have dropped a class and added some gen-ed one but it was too late.

:) I switched my major for next semester over to my actual area of interest - so hopefully things will improve for me then (and I won't have a shit ton of papers to do at once.)

Ticked: USPS left a notice supposedly after an attempt was made to delivery a package my wife and I were waiting for. Bullshit. I was home all day yesterday and nobody came knocking. Nor was there a notice (at the door, mailbox, or at the leasing office). I'd much rather pick it up but haven't a clue to where it's at because there's no damn notice. Looks like I'll have to reshedule.

So how did you hear about the notice you never heard about? Or are you saying you received a notice after a phantom notice?

Didn't watch those videos, but I browsed some Russian sites with photos. That's disgusting. I'm hoping it doesn't make it over here any time soon.

Nothing on Snopes, as I can see a drug called Krokodil as a complete hoax, but yuck are those videos vomit inducing.

Not saying the drug doesn't exist, but I'm skeptical that anyone would knowingly take a drug that after one use could lead to amputation of more than one limb.

-What does this do?
"It fucks you up for a while, then you break out in pussy sores and your skin deteriorates to the point where your skin eats itself off the bone"
-So, like it doesn't just fuck me up, it really fucks me up, like permanently?
"Exactly. But it's going to cost you nearly the price for a bag of H"
-Let's do this!
