What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Prince of Persia. The first ever excellent video game adaption. It pays great homage to the video games, takes some really good liberties with the script (it wouldn't be much of a movie with only 3 characters like the game).

Also the acting is top notch, and the prince and the princess have great chemistry, which was one of my favorite things about the game and I was worried they would miss that have writing the script, and instead make a standard love relationship between them.

PoP: SoT received panning reviews and I was never a big fan of the games to begin with, so I'll be giving it a miss. However it might be worth a rental later on.

Slaughthouse-Five. The movie is flawed, but I found it highly entertaining. I wish now that I'd read the novel first (Still haven't read anything by Kurt Vonnegut in fact).

Definitely go read the book. I've read it 3 times and wrote book reports on it twice. I didn't think the movie was all that great myself.

Started watching "Wall Street" last night. Really great so far (I'm 80 minutes into it).

The sequel isn't as "insightful" but it's supposedly a good watch.

@Hobie-wan will do.. I hope it's not a big book =P

Just a little over 200 pages for the old paperback copy I have. Which is apparently a first printing paperback from 1971. :shock:

I watched Monsters vs. Aliens last night. It was ok. Not bad, not good, and entertaining for the most part. The usual Dreamworks stuff.

Le Cercle Rouge

Jean-Pierre Melville is tied with Sergio Leone as my favorite director.
