Lol. You would've thought they would be happy to get rid of something they'll have to eventually throw out.
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
For whatever reason the sleeved DS games that are under $10 are being stashed in the drawers again around here. You have to either ask for them to bring the bin out or search for specific games on their website. Clerk was kind of obnoxious when I asked to go through the two tubs of DS games they had and only let me see one because they "both had about the same things and it's all kiddy stuff
." I usually get berated for going through the DS games anyways because that's all "kiddie" stuff.
Also didn't notice the start date on the B2G1 coupons they have been dishing out. They are only effective from the 18th-24th around here
. Wished I had noticed would have brought the B2G1 I had for renewing my membership.
On another note they had a notice on the PSP shelves saying they are no longer going to be available after next month.

Already into Alamance County?!! Guess I'm gonna have to move eastward. Look out Luke!prfsnl_gmr wrote:My troops have already advanced all the way to Burlington...TSTR wrote:Same, but replace Charlotte with Durham.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I have several "buy two games under $20, get a third game free" coupons, but I have realized that no Gamestop location in Charlotte has three games under $20 that I need for my collection. I wonder how that happened...
We should meet halfway in like High Point and clean 'em out.

Yeah September 1st....which doesn't bug me so far I've gotten quite a few games on the cheap and will probably make a round to the gamestop I can in intervals(checking ones on charlotte end of things to some extent one week and my county the other). I think so far at least a majority(besides the games I got in a trade on here) of my psp games are from gamestop(so yay!?).Fragems wrote:On another not they had a notice on the PSP shelves saying they are no longer going to be available after next month.
Though I will admit in my trip up to the one gamestop I did make a trip to they just happened to have Odama, and a gc microphone for 2.02. I think I heard about the odama thing from a metaljesus vid(or at least I think I did....) so I hope this is a good one

Surprised he didn't asked if you wanted the extended warranty for that under a dollar game.samsonlonghair wrote:Good: Link's Crossbow Training is only 44¢.
Bad: The game isn't granted any valuable shelf space. You have to ask the clerk to get it out of the drawer for you.
Ugly:
When I went into gameplop, I told the clerk I wanted Link's Crossbow Training. He and the other two employees asked me why I would even want to play that crappy game. They all tried to dissuade me from buying it.
I answered, "because I like arcade-style lightgun shooters, and I like Legend of Zelda". I thought that was sufficient explanation, but apparently not. I had to listen to all the reasons why the clerk, and his trainer, and their manager were all sure I would hate this game. In retrospect I shouldn't have answered at all; I should have just told them to ring me up already.
But then someone came in to trade in his 360. All three gameplop employees worked on the 360 trade in while I stood there waiting with forty-four cents in my hand. When the clerk finally deigned to sell me the game I came in for, he made sure to ask if I wanted to pre-order Hyrule Warriors.
No thanks.

Makes sense that they'll be dropping the PSP. Wonder if they'll do anything more than a B2G1 deal. Some price drops would be nice.
Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
That would be nice(though I almost wonder if they'll put them at 75% off like they did with gc for awhile there...that would be great...). Though I wonder what the point is unless some other locations have different games that actually have their label(unless it's a game I really want and ends up being rare or something somehow)....I'm going to need a second shelf before this month is over ha haretrosportsgamer wrote:Makes sense that they'll be dropping the PSP. Maybe the low price was the reason for the poor service. Maybe they thought I just wasn't worth their time. Oh well, there's no point in speculating what happens in another man's mind.CRTGAMER wrote:Surprised he didn't asked if you wanted the extended warranty for that under a dollar game.samsonlonghair wrote:Good: Link's Crossbow Training is only 44¢.

Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Odd but I think mine not asking may have been the fact he just forgot or I don't know even though I think all the games I got weren't worth it especially since i think some of them were psp games which they soon will stop taking like has been mentioned anyways. It shocks me that they still have as many as some do, even worse when I realize 3 of them I've gotten over time are atlus games if I'm correctsamsonlonghair wrote:Maybe the low price was the reason for the poor service. Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Went to GameStop yesterday during lunch. Employee had a bunch of D's games and 3ds games traded in. I asked what they do with the cases and he replied he throws them out. I said to myself why would they do that they could sell more ds games if they kept the cases. I ask if I can have them and he said he can get fired for doing that wtf!!!
