Cause of Corona or was this supposed to go in the smile/pissed thread?

Golgo can speak for himself of course, but I'd wager from COVID:

Sorry to hear that, Golgo. Hopefully you find work again soon!

Yep, definitely a COVID thing. I'm sure the final straw was having to release Soul on Disney+ for no extra charge.

Imo, management was kind of clueless and kept expecting this thing to clear up soon. I think they should have prepared better for the kind of situation we find ourselves in now.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Sorry to hear about your situation, Golgo. Best of luck landing a new gig. Hopefully your experience will prove a valuable asset, if not immediately, when things finally start to recover a bit.

I tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday. No worries, it doesn't appear to be a severe case. In fact, I might already be feeling better (it's hard to tell when I'm under the influence of Dayquil). Also, I had the rapid test which everyone is telling me isn't 100% accurate. Either way, I'm sick with something. My only real symptom is fever. I have a mild amount of phlegm, but not really a cough. I just feel like I have to clear my throat every so often. The fever kind of sucks, though. It comes with aches and has been lasting all day. And naturally, worse at night.

Yesterday I felt like crap but it's probably mostly due to having a bad night sleep then having to wait outside for over 2 hours (with a fever) to get into the only walk-in clinic that's open on weekends in my area. Today I feel a little better (again, maybe it's just the Dayquil) and well enough to play some video games, so that's good.

Damn, Ziggy, I'm sorry to hear that. Please do keep an eye on your symptoms. Even if it's mild now, it could get worse in the future. You don't really want to take a chance on this one.

How do you think you've caught it, if you don't mind my asking?

Oh, definitely. I'll be isolating myself in my bedroom until I'm better. I'll play some video games, but mostly just rest and watch some TV. I'm also taking all of my vitamins, including some immune boosting things. Luckily I have some people that offered to get me things from the store if I need.

How I got it, I can't know for certain of course. It's funny though because I've been super careful. I haven't been out much, and when I do go out I wear a mask and use a liberal amount of hand sanitizer. And when I get home I thoroughly wash my hands.

Canada is getting 249,000 doses of the vaccine very soon. I work in a retirement home, and employees in hospitals and long-term care homes get first dibs. I work in the kitchen of a retirement home but I assume I still count on getting first dibs. Of course I'll respect all the rules after, but it'll be nice to go to stores and stuff without being filled with anxiety.
