So, are you spending money or just doing a lot of gym battling for those coins? Because you've apparently got inventory and incubators to spare.
Also, I'm team Valor, or, as a friend calls it, team Angry Potato.
Pokémon Go
Re: Pokémon Go
Inventory is from Pokéstops; 3 days a week I'm near stops just doing various activities for about 60-90 minutes, that is the majority of my resupply. Once a week on another day I hit a local church that has 4 stops (and a gym) for a couple of hours, and I spent about $50 so far on Google Play cards for bag space, incubators, and lucky eggs. I love the game, why not support it?
On to the report!
I accomplished lots, but it probably could have been better. Why?
Because Valor held nearly all the gyms I wanted to check out today. NOT that it's ever a bad thing, honestly! I saw way more Valor than any other color in my travels today.
Let's start with the new Pokémon I got.
Caught:
Seaking
Clefairy (from a lured Pokéstop!)
Hatched:
Shellder
Machop
and I didn't even finish my 10km egg yet, it's at 9.3!
Evolved:
A far better Exeggutor (with SOLARBEAM!) My new one will kick all sorts of ass in the gyms now.
Stick around for the pictures and more stories, won't you?
First leg of the journey involved 10 stops and the only Team Instinct gym I saw today. I went to Firehouse Subs which has a Pokéstop inside (with a lure module on) and I believe I was speaking to the manager who noticed I had a Team Valor shirt on and said he put the lure on and I said I was gonna do one, so when that lure expired I threw another one on.
Pictures of the more interesting stops I made today:
The lured Firehouse and 2 nearby Valor gyms, the one in the back became Mystic 5 minutes after I took the pic -
In front of an insurance office -
The drop box trio -
Finally, self storage!
Now to the gyms. I checked out all the Mystic gyms I could today, and I determined some were not feasible to fight on my own. Here's some of the notable gym locations I came across.
I tried fighting at this one, but it glitched out in the middle of the battle - had 3 with CPs under 1000. An easy grab had it worked!
The sideshow museum that's never open!
The largest gym I ever saw, at Level 9, and it's Valor's!
Finally, a gym at a REAL tank!
Besides the Flareon I put in a gym yesterday, I took 3 new additional gyms! (NOTE: The third gym belonged to Valor, but I trained there to raise its prestige so I could put Vaporeon in. Check out the LEVEL on it!)
I was also able to check out some beach sites today on the Gulf Coast (3 of them), and they have the best selection of Pokémon ever! Lots of water types too! I was able to get more Slowpokes, another Magnemite, another Shellder, another Seel, another Psyduck, another Geodude, and many more! We were all trying to track down a Machoke that appeared on the "Sightings" area, but no luck.
So at the end of the day, I was able to claim 4 gyms and get my largest gym bonus ever! (About an hour after that, my old Exeggutor and Scyther fell. I still have 2 gyms as of this post.)
Most importantly, LEVEL UP! 100k to next. That will take too long!
Inventory remaining after today:
72 potions (23 regular/20 super/29 hyper)
174 Pokéballs
63 Great Balls
35 Ultra Balls
If anything, it did lighten my load a bit. I have room for 87 more items, which will come in handy at the next Pokéstop I get to hang around at for a while tomorrow!
My Pokédex is up to 84! About 60 more to go!

Re: Pokémon Go
Used the Lucky Egg today and leveled up to Lvl 18. I'm only a couple thousand away from 19, but I'm saving my other Lucky Egg for when I've got enough enough spare Pidgey's built up again
Unfortunately, the weather was against me today, so I didn't get to go on the walk I wanted
I did managed to take a small stroll around downtown, but then the storm rolled in. If it was just rain I would have toughed it out with an umbrella, but I ain't risking getting struck by lightning just to try and hatch an egg. Oh well. I should get plenty of walking in over next week when I go on vacation.
New additions:
Vaporeon
Exeggutor
Poliwhirl
Kadabara
Fearow
Nidorina

Re: Pokémon Go
You guys are a little too involved in this freemium game aren't ya?
I found a jigglypuff finally today, was in my neighborhood of all things which was a surprise. Also hatched a fairly decent charmander from a 2 or 5k egg, forget which. I just ended up grabbing a lot of random junk while I was out and about today, haven't cashed it in. Maybe tonight, tomorrow, whatever, it would be nice to hit lv16 but I doubt the pile I gobbled up which isn't bad (around 20 or so) won't do it even with a lucky egg I have. I was surprised to catch a wild pidegot, never saw that before.

Re: Pokémon Go
Today was a smaller adventure, but still full of interesting stuff.
Check out my new awards first, both done today.
I still got Flareon and Vaporeon in gyms (Level 4 and now Level 8, respectively, gotta love that Valor determination), so I went around to look for more. This Mystic gym had a regional Pokémon only available in Australia. So unless you make a trip down under or cheat using a GPS spoofer, you ain't getting this one! No eggs hatch region specific Pokémon either!
Deciding not to attack such a strong gym, I went to 2 more churches that are hotbeds for gym activity. I battled a Level 3 gym with Lapras as its leader; I got to witness the awesome power of Solarbeam from my new Exeggutor! It's easily the best looking and best sounding attack in the game so far. Took that gym and put Exeggutor in there. I got to the 2nd church and I found he was already defeated.
Such is the nature of big activity in gyms! This 2nd gym was Valor controlled, and had a Charmander in the first spot, so I trained with my Wartortle who has a cool Aqua Jet attack. I was just about to raise the prestige a level when I saw the number dropped! I look to my left, 2 people in a vehicle battling the Valor gym. I gave them quite a look, but let them finish so I could see which team they belonged to. You guessed it -- MYSTIC! They put their 2 Pokémon in the newly claimed gym, then another car rolled up between us, and threw a new Lapras in! So now in the course of 5 minutes it's a level 3 Mystic gym. So I did what any average Valor player would probably do - wait for them to leave so I could battle! I did just that, and had to deal with a nasty bug that involved draining the HP of one of their Pokémon and they didn't end up dying, but of course I had to heal mine still and forfeit any prestige drop. The new Lapras was tough, but I found out my Magmar had two good strengths against Ice, Karate Chop (Fighting), and Flamethrower (Fire), both super effective! In the end, Magma and Flareon 2 were victorious, but not before Solarbeam dealt decent damage. In goes Exeggutor (again).
With 3 gyms claimed and knowing that I'd probably lose this one too, I claimed my defender bonus for today. 30 coins & 1500 stardust. Good thing too, because I lost that gym about 30 minutes later.
My regular and super potions took a big hit today, because there's no way I'm using my 30 hyper potions to heal sub-100 HP Pokémon! Hopefully my 2 strong Valor gyms stay up so I can collect coins and dust while building up my potion stock again at stops.
More stories and posts here! I would like to see them!
(and there's Tanooki. I still need a Charmander in my life, but I'll settle for the new Arbok I evolved today. It has Sludge Wave, the most powerful Poison attack in the game.)

I thought there was no proof to Pokemon by continent?

There is research being done on this, primarily at TheSilphRoad reddit and according to this article from Eurogamer it has been mainly determined through datamining through the game's code that 4 Pokémon are indeed region specific. Tauros is only available in North America, Mr. Mime in Europe, Kangaskhan in Australia and Farfetch'd in Asia.
I forgot to mention yesterday I also got Kabuto from my latest 10km egg. I also sighted a Flareon in the wild, CP 988, but I was unable to catch it and it ran away.

Re: Pokémon Go
I saw a Psyduck shadow twice yesterday, never found it, didn't even realize it until the 2nd time when it clicked what it was to me.
Well if the data miners are right that's pretty shitty of them to do that with no trade option in the game so far. Good luck ever catching them all let alone evolving those regional types unless you're a big traveler or on some forum with a crap load of international players who will feed you plenty to candy up to the next levels.

Re: Pokémon Go
There has been one guy who has caught all 142 North American Pokémon available so far. I'm nowhere near that.
But I did have another good day today, and it all started with a trip to get the newly re-released Crystal Pepsi.
So I got word that it was available at Walmart, and the 5 gyms closest to me that I frequent are also there. I went to the gym that belonged to Mystic and had the Kanghaskhan....
It's now Level 7 & Valor's! I went next to the gym where I put my Vaporeon on Saturday night and was also a Level 7 at that time...
It's now a Level 10, the highest it can get to! It's also sky high on the map screen!
On the way back to Walmart, I noticed the church gym was Level 3 and had a slot open, so I threw my new Exeggutor in. I got the Pepsi and then went to the flagpole gym, which was Level 3. I trained it up to Level 4 and put Flareon 2 in. It was also time to collect today's defender bonus!
Another quadruple-gym bonus! The 5th gym is still level 4 and has my first Flareon in from Friday afternoon. Valor is here to stay in this area and working very hard to keep all these gyms in our hands!
It all started with a Crystal Pepsi (TM).
NOTE: As I was preparing to post this, the Exeggutor and Flareon 2 gyms just fell. They were the 2 weakest as of right now. At least I was able to get the big bonus again.

Re: Pokémon Go
I checked my phone when I got off and headed to the bathroom, was surprised by a shadow -- the shadow of Snorlax. Went out in the car, had to go out anyway, went the other way out the drive than usual and just around the corner it pops up. Surprisingly didn't put up more than a 3 ball fight -- worth 1100cp~ and listed as extra small in height and size so a micro-snorlax. Instantly 2nd best thing on my list barely edged by my Vaporeon. Also bumped into and captured an Ivysaur, mean little prick took a good 10 balls or so. I'm lv16 now and around 20-25% through that from capture and release/evolutions today.
