Well, I mean, they can say that. It doesn't mean it's necessarily entirely true. Nevermind what mods people might come up with.

^well that's interesting as heck. Nice long list of games, too. Have you actually used it? I wonder how well it works. I'm not gonna lie... seeing XCOM on that list makes me very curious what that'd be like haha.

At any rate, it'd still be nice if the VR that was developed for the game worked on Rift day one. Part of my reasoning for shelling out for a CV was to just have VR work without much messing around.

I haven't tried it, no, and it's certainly not the same as having the game designed for it from the start (I've mostly seen it in combination with the Dark Souls 3 first person mod via Youtube ). Kinda tempted to mess with it though.

Seems like someone did put up a video of trying it with X-COM too. Not that either really show what it'd be like in the headset.

Probably wanna spell that out in this thread.

I'd have a hard time believing this would only be playable via VR for an entire year. So... I definitely don't think it's that. If it is, then to me that just says that they're not very confident of the game outside of using a headset.

All this crap is just more tiring reasons why it has no right to be called 7.

Timed exclusives suck. But chances are this is kind of similar to Street Fighter and Sony is helping fund them a bit since Capcom still seem to be on life support.

My understanding was that it will only support VR on PS4 for a year as opposed to Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, not that you HAVE to have PS VR to play on PS4 for a year. I've got VR preordered, though, so I didn't bother looking into it to be sure.

I do agree that this probably should have been labeled a spinoff rather than the 7th game proper.

Though I am very excited to actually play the damn thing.

I'm cautiously interested now. It's not really what I want, but I'll check it out. I'm probably more disappointed to hear that the RE2 remake is going to be a full blown actual remake, and probably won't play in the classic style. The REmake and Zero ports should be proof enough that the formula can still work, the game is amazing as is and it would be cool to just see RE2 get a facelift, it doesn't need to be changed.

Revelations 1-2 are more 7 than RE7 is going to be. lol

so I put an hour into Umbrella Corps and I'm pissed.

I *think* that there is a fun game buried under here, but there's so many technical issues that need to ironed out. One is majorly game-breaking for me, and I'll get to that in a second. But first I want to talk about how bad the UI is in general. I could find no graphics settings in the menu. Off to Google I went and guess what? You have to hit "O" to bring up a hidden Options menu in the main menu. WTF? Whatever. Second is the loading times. OMG so bad.

But what's killing it for me is that this game just wasn't made for keyboard and mouse. Apparently at first the mouse just emulated an analog stick. And they patched that. But now it is so sensitive that I CANNOT play it... I turned down the sensitivity as far is it would go. I have my mouse acceleration all the way down as well. It is still touchy as hell. I barely move the mouse and I'm flying all over the screen. The only time I can move steadily is if aiming but then you walk super slow. It's a mess.

I tried to play with controller but now I can't hit anything. Ack and Fast will attest to the fact that I only became competent at FPS games when I learned to use mouse and keyboard. So basically until they fix this... I can't play this game.

It's only marginally better on PS4.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
