I used to love this game so much, but now it's just making me angry. I'm actually doing worse now than when I started. I won one match with 1 Groove point. I stopped playing right there. There's something in this game I just can't figure out like I can other fighters. Partly because I feel like every move the CPU does to me somehow perfectly cancels whatever I was going, and unless I got an obvious cancel, I get crap points even when I do something cool.

Ditto. I think I've maxed out on my points already. 100K and some change seems to be about all I can put out no matter which combination of characters or strategy I use. And it seems like the more I try to score higher GPS, the lower my GPS actually gets!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
there's always those games. You think you like them until you understand how they work and then you hate them. Haha. I've encountered quite a few shmups like this. Seem to play great, but the scoring sucks.
I think CvS is probably still amazing as a 1-on-1 (real person vs real person) fighting game. But maybe a lot less fun to play for score.
I sorta want to stick with it a few more days only because I just bought a NAOMI cart and it should be here for the weekend, but i'm not opposed to just posting a better score later even if we've moved on.
Other suggestions?
We've done a racer and 2 fighters, so a puzzler or shmup next?
